We’re also one of the youngest teams.

Unfortunately since 1995 we still rank in the (albeit top) bottom 30%, including W/L ratio and I did that analysis a few years ago, no doubt it has gotten worse. Fun fact, the analysis showed that our Franchise is closest in resembling the Jets (literally a couple wins and DCG win difference) followed by the Jags in several major metrics, which is ironic seeing as this forum routinely trashes them.

As I have said, kings of the poo pile. You can take out the Bengals but replace with the Dolphins, drop the Panthers a bit, and as I also pointed out year ago the Panthers usually solidly sit above 4-5 teams (and we can always say fug yea we aren’t the lions) and another one or two questionable ones. But always another 1-15/2-14 season away from dropping.

A losing season this year will officially mark the worst stretch in the Panthers entire existence, and imo, solidify them as the modern Browns.

I really just think people have low expectations.

Yay for Tep.

It’s really not.  We actually have done decent if you start the clock in 1995

Not even close, I already did the stats and analysis several years ago, shortly after the SB run.

People severely overvalue the super appearances. For example the Jets lost the champ game, we won ours but then lost the SB. That simple fact alone makes people think we are beyond better than them.

But diving deeper down to W/L, strength of schedule and even down to stats, as of 2017/18 the Panthers were in the bottom 30%.

Of course you can always change up metrics to fit the narrative. I find bigger picture metrics of the success of a franchise are more important than ‘SB appearances’ Such as wins, post wins, post showings, consistency etc.

The Browns aren’t done ‘Browning’, so we can’t take that title just yet.

It should be hella depressing for saints fans, they have been a team a hell of a lot longer than us and had a HOF Coach/QB combo for 15 years.

LMAO @ only 10 playoff wins, bunch of losers to talk so much poo. The next time one comes here trolling show them this poo.

Falcons also @ 10 wins, but they didnt have a HOF combo for 15 years.

Bucs @ 11 wins because of Brady.

We should feel pretty good about this list, since they have all been around much longer than we have.

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
