Who starts next game, though? 🤔

(Mayfield again, if they're smart)

I think they're positioning Baker to start under the assumption he looks good today.

Then they'd place Darnold with the 1s at Caspers house under the assumption he's going to be shook...

Competition over.

And I think we have a joint practice lined up with the Patriots so both of them might sit out the game like we did last season after joint practice.

I think they've always known who the starter was they just played into the competition storyline to enforce the "every job is earned" and the "QB transparency and fair shake" narrative they've been trying to drill into our heads every presser.

So, obviously everyone knows Mayfield is getting the start, it’ll be interesting to see if it’s truly one series or if they trot him back out there if the first series is a dud.

Hubbard getting the start for McCaffrey, I’d assume he’s followed by Foreman and Brown.

Ricci is getting the start at tight end with Thomas out, I assume the Panthers will start in a two tight end set and Tremble will start on the other side. Sullivan and Thompson are also out so we should see a good amount of Tremble and Ricci along with the new tight ends (Izzo and Becker).

Higgins getting the start for D.J. Moore, he’ll have a chance to build off of his good camp. Obviously no Marshall or Saunders either, so Zylstra and Shi Smith should get some nice burn.

Daley is out today so that might open up more snaps for Deonte Brown.

Haynes is out so we might see Barno get quite a bit of action today.

Bravvion Roy getting the start at DT for Derrick Brown which makes sense as Roy is more of a nose and Nixon is more of a three technique. Hoskins will probably get a good amount of time today as well.

Littleton starting for Shaq Thompson and unfortunately, after Littleton, we don’t have much depth at LOLB. Stanford hasn’t proven to be more than a ST’s player at this point.

Henderson and Jackson look to be the starters at CB, Horn and Taylor are out. Kalon Barnes should get some good work today with both Horn and Taylor out. This could also be the beginning of the end for Stanley Thomas-Oliver III who could soon join Troy Pride as another 2020 pick that’s no longer on the roster.

Does chrome cast work for it?

not sure what that is... I really don't use the smart part of the tv all that much, just for ESPN+ and Sunday Ticket which is its own app and doesn't seem to have NFL+ included on it.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
