That offseason was such a dumpster fire.  I was as big of a Gettleman dick rider as anybody on this board but didn't love that pick.

also did you guys know that fuging Daryl Worley is still on an NFL roster

I broke off my man-love for him during that off-season, the re-sending of the Norman tag was my turning call. I will go check out the draft and see who I truthfully wanted......oooo boy I wanted Herny, spence, and Dodd....... in that order.......those last two are much worse than bulter....

I didnt question guts drafting DT cause he picked Star and KK, both rock solid picks......but didnt like the throwing 3 picks at CB. He didnt know how to keep the team winning. Again with the way it ended in NYG, he was worse than Henrinay....

Butler's attitude killed his career here.

He came in expecting to be a starter, then the guy he was drafted to replace re-upped and suddenly he was a backup.

Didn't handle it well.

His best year was the contract year here(shocking), but after that....... piss poor. Lazy and blessed can take you this far tho...

Biggest bust of a first round pick in modern panthers history.  I remember this pick. Loaded at DT with Star and KK.  Passed on hunter Henry Derrick Henry Michael Thomas.  Nipple Shorts fuged us hard with zero lube. Throw in KB and Shaq as first round picks it literally set us back years.

I wanted Emmanuel Ogbah. He was pretty much a bust for the Browns but he's coming off back to back 9 sack seasons in Miami.

His 2021 PFF grade is one of, if not the worst PFF grades I’ve ever seen… 34.5

Man after seeing them grade Penning at 94 while allowing 3 sacks on 14 snaps, I’ve given up on PFF. Not saying Butler wasn’t terrible but PFF makes no sense…

    • It's been many a year since we were in December talking about how games mattered for something other than draft order. This crazy, mixed up, unpredictable, maddening, uplifting and teeth gnashing season has certainly not been boring.
    • If you look at Brown and Horn's contracts, expect to pay above what he is likely actually worth. This is the Panthers suckage tax. Ultimately, much like Derrick Brown, he has steadily improved over time and that's what you want out of your young first round draft picks. He was one of the biggest and most important question marks coming into the season and he has answered it conclusively. He is "the guy" at LT. Great news, one less position of extreme importance to have to attempt to remedy.
    • This is maddening because, well, it's so up and down. When the kid's on, he can be great. When he's mediocre, we can still win based on a strong running game and good defense. When he's bad, and over his history he's this more than not, then it's a sad show that no one could win with. How can anyone know what is going to happen right now? Really. It's like picking one flake in a snow globe and shaking it once a week... there is no telling where it will end up. Things I did see on Sunday from Bryce: his teammates love him; he can make the big throws with good protection and good effort from his receivers. He isn't afraid to run. He can rise up against the best in competition (but he can also sink to the level of bad competition).  All I can say is if Canales goes with an aggressive game plan for Bryce that leans on a hot-hand running game, the team can beat anyone. If there's any wishy-washy play calling, then Bryce melts and couldn't beat anyone.  Maybe the person Bryce needs to win over more than anyone is Canales.
