Makes you wonder if we should cut PJ and Sam.  A lot of teams are only carrying two QBs and we currently have 4 (yeah I know it's early).  I have a feeling we are rolling with 3 (Baker, Sam, Matt), but why is PJ still on our roster getting playing time?  Are other teams currently rolling 4 deep?

I have no clue what the plan is for PJ or Sam.. But I'm also not disparaged enough to care this early in the process... I also Trust "Mcadoo" enough that I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on "his" process... Plus we are in week 2.5 of Hopefully a long career for Corral and I listen to the analysts and the league and understood this could be a longer process to develop him and that's okay for a 3rd round pick..

I know, but my fear is that by missing the time Rhule will default to Elflein as having won the competition by availability during preseason alone. 😞

Even if .. Eflin has a history of injuries so he probably won't last and Bozeman can step in then...

There are currently 12 teams carrying 4 QBs are their rosters: CAR, SF, NYJ, CIN, PIT, IND, KC, LV, DAL, PHI, NO, TB,

Ha.

And when the seasons starts and all the bipolar knee jerk threads begin because you guys are forced to believe no one else wanted Baker for 5 mil for a fuging reason, and can stop ignoring the fact this is the THIRD reject failure Rhule has conjured up…I will be relaxing sipping my beer because I’m not an idiot.

This franchise has shown zero competence, continues to take short cuts and cheats codes that don’t fuging work while screwing us out of a top pick and until that happens and there is a obvious qb to be excited about, we will continue to suck.

Black helmets are going to be exciting I’ll give this season that.

But by all means continuing the hope train…maybe we can talk about the 4th qb reject coming in next year when we are almost half way through Rhule’s/Jayzs 7 year process lol.

Baker is 3 wins better than Darnold MAX. fuging sucks because 2023 qb draft class looking nice. We will have 12-14 pick.

3 more wins would make a 60% increase in win total. I love when people say Baker is only slightly better than Darnold then complain he is going to ruin our draft position..

No one thinks we are a Super Bowl threat or that Baker will become the next Tom Brady. Sneaking into the playoffs as a wildcard would be the absolute ceiling IMO. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m excited about even average QB play and hopefully watching a more competitive team than last year. Our secondary looks great, QB and OL have been significantly upgraded. After watching that sad excuse of an offense last year, I’ll take an average one this year.

He’s making 18 million…

You know who else is making the exact same amount? Baker Mayfield. You know, the guy who made such a huge stink about his team trying to replace him that they ended up trading him for pennies even though a massive suspension was inevitably coming for Watson. How much better off would Cleveland be with Baker starting the first 11 games instead of Jacoby Brissett? Instead they save about $7 million and get a day 3 pick but most likely throw their 2022 season down the drain.

This isn't a criticism of Baker so much as a defense of Darnold. Honestly, I've been impressed at how maturely he's handled the whole situation. You can hate him as a qb and at least acknowledge that.

Oh and to @Mr. Scot trying not to personally attack you.. But just because you're condescending and hoiler then thoe persona doesn't mean I can't disagree with your opinions or method to getting there..

At no point did I say you couldn't post your opinion or your wasting ppl time post what you think..

But this is a football forum you can post and be challenged on your opinion as well.. Especially with calling ppl stupid or dumb for challenging your all mighty word ..lol

Directly above that...

Dumb argument because again you refuse to add context..

The rest of the post had a pretty condescending tone as well.

Also, from earlier...

"YOU MUST BE A RHULE FAN" BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE WITH MY OPINION " DUH DUH DUH!@

Instead of backing your poo up with actually facts and valid points...

Lmao

So...yeah 😕

This is what the complaint was about, and I'm having to engage myself to highlight it.

Conversations, and even disagreement, with intelligent people can be civil and enjoyable.

This? Not so much.

    • This fan base and being cool with mediocrity is infuriating. Making excuses for billionaires who had no business imploding a franchise and making us the Browns of the South.  Good on you man being a glass half full kind of person, I am not. I have zero faith in Tepper "evolving" and quoting Morgan in saying they been easy to work with is not any evidence of that actually happening. I'm sure if I go back and watch Fitt, Rhule and Reich pressers they said the same b.s. towing the line jargon to appease their boss. Stuff like, O they've been great, such great collaboration or some crap. Give me wins that is the ONLY analysis I need to judge are clown of an owner.....
    • You're equating wins with evolving, but It's a little more complex than that. This will be the new managment's third season. It will also be the third season where the Teppers have taken a step back. If you think that the only way to measure improvements due to seeming changes for the better is wins and losses after only two years--one being a playoff berth, "limping" in there or not, then perhaps you're being more emotional. By most analysts' measure, Dan Morgan has the Panthers moving in the right direction. He can only get us to where we need to be with the blessing and cooperation from the owners. He has said several times now, that they are easy to work with. Rhule, Reich and Fitterer did not say that. In fact, you could literally see the pressure put upon them by their countenance.  Bottom line: it has been reported that they have changed and everything that we've seen (and not seen) is indicative of that belief. We were a playoff team, and we had a good showing. With the moves that have been made this offseason, and last offseason to be honest, NFL types are expecting the Panthers to compete for the division the upcoming season, and that's even before the draft. This is all with a QB that is still a question mark.  Rome wasn't built in a day. David Tepper has seemed to internalize that, and now many fans need to appreciate the same. It could be argued that we didn't have any business winning the games we did in '24 or '25, much less make the playoffs this past season. A positive transition appears to be afoot. We are close to becoming a perennial contender, and that's thanks to a developing culture change that is being allowed to happen. This was not the case when the Teppers, particularly David, were fumbling around trying to figure out how to run an NFL franchise.
    • Dude is a beast on ST. I like the emphasis on special teams with him and Simmons.
