According to who? They have a closed walk through today

Darin Gantt according to NBC Sports Edge. It says Monday, but its in their latest feed, I assume it is a typo since they happen often on their site.

Terrace Marshall (hamstring) returned to practice Monday.

Marshall missed some time with a hamstring injury. He will likely be eased back in -- he got some rest on Wednesday -- but he should be good to go for Week 1. Marshall was having a great offseason before the injury.

Do we think Mayfield sits the entire game?

Darnold then starts and leaves after a quarter or two?

Rhule said he wasn't playing his starters and that he wouldn't make an annoucnement on QB until after the Patriots game.

So I assume that means you don't see Baker or Sam.

I actually meant to post, Gantt was in local radio here in Raleigh earlier and said the majority of the action will be 2nd and 4rd stringers tomorrow and that the staff wants to get Corral some more meaningful reps with a better supporting cast around him...  and Gantt is in an official capacity with the team, so there you have it.  I still think PJ will get a bulk of the snaps, but I'm curious if they let Corral go first with the 2s first?

I would give Baker another series and then Darnold the rest of the half followed by Corral in the second half, but what do I know.  PJ should be cut because there is no path for him to make this roster without Darnold getting cut.  Also it would be nice if Icky got some valuable reps and Mays got some at center.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
