This has to stop, the guy can coach. End of story.  He had some struggles to start off his NFL career, but really who doesn't?   This is his 3rd year and time to shine, just watch as he takes off and takes this team to a place we have never been.  In 5 years his name will be up there in the top 5 easy if not the best coach in the NFL.  Buckle up and get ready for a wild fun ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m glad someone is showing some level of optimism.. it really seems like that isn’t allowed here.

if you dont win 17 games year one as a coach the huddle thinks you suck

The huddle thinks everyone sucks.  It’s a rebuild in year 3 of a 7 year stint. Didn’t you know we should be 17-0 and winning the super bowl by now!? Idk why his ass isn’t on his way back to Waco Tx. 🙄

Did you know that most coaches who have won the SB had a winning record in year 1? Did you know just a handful of them had 2 losing seasons before they were SB contenders or won the SB? Did you know that no HC since the 60s has had more than 2 losing seasons before leading their team to SB contention and an eventual SB championship?

Do you believe Rhule is the exception with a 7 year plan?

So, is your goal to win a SB under the HC the Panthers hire or something else?

Rhule should have never been hired when he proposed to be the first coach to lead a team to the ultimate goal with a 7 year plan. That tells you he has no idea how SB champion coaches have been made.

I am about 12 pages behind in the thread and I'm not reading all of that to see if this has been said before.

So forgive me if I say that I do not understand why you chose the word "Hate" to use as how you feel about the man. Hate is an awful strong feeling to have towards someone you do not know on a personal level.

It's used way to often around here and it is puzzling to me how someone could get to that point.

Having said all that let me close by saying....

over it dead horse GIF

It is pretty funny Rhule seems to be babying the whole team this year. Pats play their starters, rhule goes with backups. Bills go with backups, rhule goes with starters. It’s almost as if he’s afraid of just best on best and that shows in practice reps also.

You realize a handful means 5, right?  You realize contenders mean they were in the SB, not necessarily won it, right?
Zac Taylor
Kyle Shanahan
Ron Rivera
Bill Belichick
Pete Caroll

That's off the top of my head over the last, what, 7 SBs?   And you're saying there aren't any more?

I call bullshlt.

Shlt, that  doesn't even count Shanhan 2x or Belichek 4x in those 7 years. It also doesn't include the coaches on their second stints who had LOSING records at previous teams and got fired.

Your statements also show a lack of understanding of cause and effect.

Coaches who start with multiple losing seasons don't make it to the SB many times because they are fired after a couple of losing seasons,  of course they don't win the SB.

I believe the panthers said they were playing their starters before the bills said they were resting.

And Rhule stated he took more weight in the joint practices with the pats vs the actual game.

I think the logic makes sense that you want your dress rehearsal closes to the regular season, especially now that you have 2 weeks between final preseason game and opening day.

this is consistent with the schedule when there were 4 preseason games… the dress rehearsal was game 3 then all starters would rest the 4th preseason game. Only difference is the nfl got rid of that completely meaningless game
