Burris, Deonte Brown might struggle to get a spot.  I was a bit disappointed by Cade Mays, but--very much like BC--they are playing him at one position one week, another the following week.  That has to be confusing. I am of the mindset that you develop a player at one position and then you expose him to another.  But I am no Matt Rhule.

It does seem as though the OL depth is becoming clear---Mays, Jordan, Elf (he is not starting over Bozeman) and maybe Erving---but I am not sure I would keep Erving.   He reminds me of the Marty Hurney method of self promotion---overpay an average player in hopes that plays up to the contract.

The only thing that's going to get rid of Erving is the Rhule Curse [Does anyone need explanation?], but Irving seems like he's immune to it. Rhule genuinely seems to value Erving as a lineman. "He's so athletic! He can play any position..."

I will never understand the infatuation Rhule had or has with him. It defies all logic and reasoning.

"-Poor Sam"

This was my thought exactly when I saw the scores.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a QB drafted that high try hard but still suck. Unlike most high drafted busts it’s not laziness or injury that killed his career, he just doesn’t have the intangibles you want in a QB much less as a team leader. He’s basically the living form of “Bad Luck Brian”.

He is so ill-suited to being an NFL QB that you wonder how anyone scouted him and didn't pick up on it?

It's wild.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
