Game 3 was definitely Deonte Brown's worst preseason game. He had some early struggles before settling in towards the end. Was very disappointing to see, especially since he was clearly outperforming Jordan prior to this weekend.

This is so fucckkkinggggg awesome. We have upgraded Burris. No worries. Burnsy? No worries. Mayes gave up no pressures pff stated in their rapid reaction, so, weird. Fine. Sam? Uh, yeah, of course. Fine

Christensen? Huge. Ickey? Huge. Wilson and Littleton? Huugeee. Luvu? Duh. Brown and Bravvion. Freaking huge!! Great to hear about Corbett after reading what some folks here wrote. And we already know we got our dog at qb. What great feedback. Incredible.

It's kinda time to let that go. There is an argument that acquiring Mayfield for a song and a dance made up for that.

Exactly. It's past time. I've certainly not been sold on Rhule, but some people are just overboard to the point I honestly think they get more pleasure when this teams fails than succeeds.

Rhule has done an underrated job of revamping the God awful roster he inherited. He does deserve every ounce of criticism about his QB decisions, but if Baker can be the guy, the so what?

If Rhule can't lead this team to playoffs in year 3, I'm cool with and want to change direction.

But some people act like Rhule hasn't done anything right and that's simply not true.

This roster is significantly better than what we had rolling into 2020. Yes, there are still depth concerns but almost every team has that. We at least have legitimate starters unlike in 2020 where we started a guy (Rasul Douglas) less than 2 weeks after he was cut.

I could see Rhule's tenure being much like Seifert's. Didn't look good at the time, but both will get better credit in retrospect for rebuilding and drafting good players, even if they weren't the right guys to be the head coach.

Anyway, let's give the man at least a few games this season before acting like it's an unmitigated disaster

One of those make you think our player evaluations are terrible. I mean Rhule’s wife picked Hubbard and Fitterer said on the draft video that an Alabama coach said Deonte was good even though we were there at the Senior Bowl where he looked like a camp body signing, not even an UDFA. Reminds me of Little where you felt like we were the only ones not paying attention at the combine. Deonte looked so bad and even with medical concerns, you take a chance on a guy who grades as a day 2 pick not on a guy who doesn’t look like he’d ever be an NFL starter.

To be fair though, from most reports Deonte did look impressive at the senior bowl practices iirc. And dude allowed only a half sack and 1 pressure his entire last year in the SEC at "Alabama". For him to almost undrafted after those accomplishments speaks volumes.

From everything I've seen, he actually has parts of his game that could translate into making him a useable OG. More specifically the way he opens lanes up and his hustle to the 2nd level. His pass protection needs alot of help at this point. That's a FACT.

I do think we might cut him in favor of May's if it comes to it. I'm just not a fan of giving up on 2nd year players that are still developing. I just don't know where it's not clicking for him. The Greg Little effect....

Us actually coaching at the senior bowl should have given us the leg up on player evaluations. We did walk away with Shi Smith though so we didn't totally blow that opportunity.

- C.J. Henderson's grade is concerning he was clearly getting picked on by Keenum

- Don't be surprised if Cade Mays gets cut over Dennis Daley (who can play T/G) and then gets signed to the PS

- With Giovanni Ricci injury we may just keep Stephen Sullivan as the #3 TE

I would keep Mays over Dennis Dailey. We shall see.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
