Sean Payton explains a winning game plan in the NFL 100% contradictory to what Matt Rhule is trying to do.

I listened to him and not once did I think I was listening to a BS artist.  The man knows how to be a HC in the NFL and he relates what that entails (in his view) quite comfortably.  There was no "the Process" or "the analytics say."  By the end, I was wanting to hear more.

He also clearly understands how what his offense does (or doesn't do) impacts his defense.

Any organization thinking about hiring a coach should listen to this clip.  They don't need to agree with his particulars, but just asking whether the guy they are interviewing can approach his level of understanding would save them a lot of grief.

Now we return to listening to Rhule, who would probably try to convince us he and Payton see things the same way.

can someone summarize or bullet point.

Sean Payton preaching balance and not putting everything on the QB.  You know, the exact opposite of what he essentially did with Brees for years.

It's just amazing to watch Panthers fans drooling over an a-hole coach of a rival who could only win a SB by literally cheating to hurt other players, getting caught and receiving the biggest penalty in the history of professional sports.

And yes Rhule beat Payton last year.  @Ricky Spanish

Here's Peyton immediately after the game.

They they played better than us today and deserve to win the football game.

I am firmly planted on the "They let us win that game to fug our draft position" train.

Thank goodness he’s out of our division and that he didn’t get Mahomes.

Just listening to him talk you can tell he’s on a different planet than where our current head coach is.

I hope he's back in our division next year with a 100mil contract

Payton really easily eyeballed the Panthers as a team that will go to a 2nd QB this year and not because of injury.

The shitshow is so obvious to basically everyone but 10% of the Panther fanbase.   The QB move IMO will clearly just be because we are floundering and firing coaches and benching QBs is all Rhule can really throw against the wall as his evitable end comes

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
