2018 : Green Bay Packers
- Head Coach Mike McCarthy was fired the same day as a Week 13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals

2019 : Cleveland Browns
- Head Coach Freddie Kitchens was fired December 29th with one game remaining on the schedule

2020 : Los Angeles Chargers
- Head Coach Anthony Lynn was fired one day after the season ended

2021 : Houston Texans
- Head Coach David Culley was fired four days after the final game of the season

2022 : Carolina Panthers
- Head Coach Matt Rhule

...

Yikes! 😬

To be clear, I think Campen is a good OL Coach (his reputation is that he's one of the best) but damn has he signed on to some unfortunate ships over the past few years.

Interim HC material?  I just posted in another thread as long as a Rhule toady doesn't take the helm (and there's only a very few) I'm cool with canning Rhule right now.

He served as Associate Head Coach with the Browns under Kitchens.

He'd probably have Baker's vote given he was part of that team.

Campen is the kiss of death for a head coach apparently.

He has been for the last few coaches, unfortunately.

I remember making note of that at the time he was hired. Now it's rearing its head again.

Mind you, this would be a case where we should all thank him.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
