Let's remember that Tepper came from Pittsburgh where they don't fire coaches

I know a lot of people want Rhule gone, me included, but this recent report of Tepper being patience reminded me that Tepper came from Pittsburgh. How often do you see Pittsburgh fire a coach? I mean when you think of it, it kind of makes sense.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Tuesday that he's hearing "some of the team's limited partners intend to lobby owner Art Rooney to fire of Tomlin and to hire a new coach."

To be clear: These members of ownership, who bought into the team about a decade ago, do not have the authority to hire or fire anyone or to make any sort of management decisions. They are minority owners without a controlling interest; Florio lists "Rob Citrone, Paul Evanson, Larry Paul, Stephen Paul, Bruce Rauner, Paul Sams, John Stallworth, Benjamin Statler, Scott Swank, David Tepper, Thomas Tull, Peter Varischetti, and Mike Wilkins" as names involved.

You just had the epiphany? This theory has been thrown out there last year and the year before. It comes out every season Rhule is not fired.

How often do you see a Steelers coach display the incompetence that Rhule has, particularly considering there are no 'good years' to counterbalance?

I wasn't overly upset when Ron was let go, but in his defense, Cam was hurt the final two years he was at Carolina so he had to play most of those seasons with back-up QB's. Tepper didn't even let him finish the season. Ron was dismissed with 4 games left to go.

And what do we have to show for it? The new hire is the least popular HC we've ever had.

Someone tried to tell me last week that this had been debunked. I asked for some proof and they gave me nothing. Tepper is a joke and he wanted to fire the only coach with Tomlin's track record. It still doesn't make sense.

This Steelers argument doesn't make sense either as he fired Rivera after winning five games in a row with his back up QB. Rhule has only won five games a season.

People acting like Tepper had ANYTHING to do with the Steelers. He gave them some money, they said ... thanks, bruh you're a "minority owner", you can vote on like hot dogs and coke V pepsi, etc.

When was the last time the Steelers had a Head Coach that didn’t see success within 3 years though? That’s the million dollar question.

over the last 50 years they only had 10 losing seasons...

They don’t fire coaches because their coaches, at least their last two, have continued success. Even if that success is 8-8. If Tomlin was have multiple 5 wins seasons even the stubborn owner of the Steelers would fire him.
