As sad as it is, I think Baker sees the field better than Sam, his arm is just completely shot at this point b/c he can't make the throws.  Sam has a better arm (LOL), but couldn't process an NFL defense if his life depended on it.

Neither can Mayfield.

Darnold won't solve anything.  Baker is a better QB than Sam.  Sam has more talent, but he can't get out of his own way.  Baker's issues fall a fair amount on the coaching staff, and an equal amount on himself.  Why did we keep putting passing routes remotely near these guys blocking Baker's passes?  JJ Watt is one of the best in the business.  I think he stopped rushing the passer and just hung back and waited for Baker to throw so he could play volleyball.  That's a coaching issue.  Baker should have been smarter about not throwing it in Watt's direction.

Right now, the Panthers are screwed.  You can fire Rhule today, but the offensive playbook is still the offensive playbook.  You can trot out Sam, Baker or PJ - it's not going to change things. Man, I miss the days of Teddy and Joe Brady!  At least the offense put up some points and kept it interesting!

Now it's just a waiting game.  Waiting to see when Rhule gets fired, and how badly the defense get's abused after being out on the field 40 minutes a game.

I'd rather keep the draft pick.

Yes, you did.q tip falling GIFI was slightly grazed by the Mayfield mania in the end, but you were 100 percent unfazed!

Who knew that Mayfield would suck more than Darnold? Jon Snow, that's who.

I take no pleasure in getting this one right.  I was praying that it would play out differently.  But here we are, right where i thought we would be.

Now its going to be a back and forth rotation between Sam and Baker as each flounder around out there until the season is over.

Defensive linemen are taught that if you can’t get to the passer, then get your hands up and try to block the pass. If this is true, then our offensive line was doing a good job of pass blocking, but weren’t knocking the defensive lineman in the gut when they jumped to block the pass. I just don’t see a lot of nastiness out of the Panthers offensive linemen.

Called it.

Yep

he is running,out of scapegoats

QB changes. OC changes. Staff changes. Player changes and they are still not a competent pro team

the common denominator is Rhule

I have no idea what they do all week in practice or if Rhule even knows what the tape shows him

what I know for sure is paraphrasing Parcells ‘he is what his record says he is’ ..putrid

Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Just sit back and enjoy the comedy y'all. I quit getting frustrated a long time ago.

For the first time in 20 some years I’m on the verge of not watching. And I’ve never done that with any team I follow.  But this isn’t just painful as a fan, it’s senseless. Literally half of this board could have made better decisions for the team in the last three years and that’s saying a lot because 90% of this board are clowns it feels like lol

Start Darnold again by all means. Embrace the tank.tank GIF

I can’t believe I’m saying this but if we want to tank then we should probably leave in Baker. Darnold is not good but at least he can get the ball past the line of scrimmage. I swear half of Bakers throws have been batted down at the line this year.
