Will Scott Fitterer get to pick the HC or will David Tepper pull a Jerry Jones

Tepper doesn't believe in using outside consultants.

He made that quite clear during the hiring of both Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer.

Right. Which is why I said we have to hope that he gets over himself. For rational people, seeing this straight trash and clusterfug on the field as a result of one’s own choice at least encourages a bit of thought/change.

Will it for Tepper? I don’t know but if it doesn’t, it really doesn’t matter what happens, this franchise is doomed.

Kinda wondering if he would like to rethink that position right about now.  He's proven he doesn't have any idea what he is doing and his instincts are almost exactly wrong.

But, it is his team to screw up as he wishes.

Also, if I remember correctly JR had the same feelings on consultants for 20 years and then changed his tune because he was surrounded by idiots. Hopefully Tepper catches on to the fact he’s not qualified and is here because he’s rich. And yes that will probably prove to be a challenge for him.

Given his ego, kinda doubt it.

See above.

Honestly, having him leave the job to Fitterer and Morgan is probably the best option right now.

It's Hurney all over again.

Blamed EVERYTHING on John Fox, ran him out of town, and then left that dumfug Hurney as GM.

Why keep a holdover, one of the most important pieces at that, of the previous regime when that regime was a total and complete disaster.

Just clean house, new GM, new coaching staff. Clean slate for a new regime.

Anyone that thinks Fitt is worth keeping go look at that Ian Thomas contract. Go look at how we gave up nearly an entire draft worth of picks for Mayfield, Darnold and Henderson.

Do people think good GM candidates are gonna be attracted to a team whose owner fired the last guy even though he didn't have power over the roster? 🤔

Tepper gives an unqualified college coach full roster control over a seasoned NFL personnel guy, then fires the personnel guy despite forcing him to work under the unqualified college coach, and we're expecting other people to want to work for this owner?

Yes.

There are only 32 NFL GM jobs in the world, any given year they are only a few open.
Will an established, proven GM, who is currently in a GM position be willing to jump ship, maybe not, but there be plenty of “candidates” that will be willing to work for Tepper.

Lack of candidates will not be the issue, choosing the right one will be the issue, but that is the case for any HC or GM hire.  If there was a proven formula every ram would have a good HC and GM.
