Eagles game last year.

Ya think.

I get an opportunity to come home every once in a while, and I had tickets with my 3 daughters and one of their boyfriends to that game.  We looked so good in the first half I thought we were going to cruise to another win.  Then the old Darnold showed up and ruined the day.

it wasn't just Darnold.

They were one first down, or one 4th down stop away from icing that game for like 1.5 quarters and couldn't do it.

A complete failure.

That was the weirdest turnaround in a game I ever remember.  We were crusing, up 15-3 and had a 4 and 1 at the 45, one we could have easily converted to go up 18 or 22-3 but punted.  They went on to score and it just changed the whole complexion of the game, really the whole season.  Just spiraled downward after that.  Never could recover.

Last year when they thought they were better than they were and gave away massive draft picks to pick up guys who didn't really help.

Not hiring a single former HC his first year.

Trading for Baker Mayfield this year.

Totally not having a plan for the draft every year.

Last but not least. Wasting a draft pick on a LS who was then cut not a year later.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
