"Win the day"

If we somehow pull off an upset this weekend. That could really energize this team. It's all going to come down to our offense coming out of the closet and actually putting some points on the board.

Our division isn't a runaway just yet.  Tampa has 2 loses and could have been 3 had the refs not saved them on that BS sack.

Wilks really has an opportunity here and I hope he really is given a full opportunity.

The more I've learned about him, the more I like him. Originally, I didn't want to see him as HC, but I've come around to think the opposite. I think you won't find a coach more committed to this team, the city and states it represents and the Keep Pounding mantra. I think he can give this team back its identity of being a scrappy, hardnosed team.

I hope he can turn this around. I think he has a lot of the pieces he needs in place, but not all of them. QB is a big, big hurdle for us and he has to work with what we have in the building, because I'm not aware of an alternative out there waiting for a trade.

If Wilks can somehow get five wins out of the schedule remaining, getting us to our best record in three years, then I think we'll know he should stay. Considering our first five games, doing this would be a miracle.

Here's to hoping he can do it.

I'd love to see the Panthers turn it around.  If Wilks is able to get everyone on the same page, working together, and we're able to see success, then he should be the next coach.

We do have spots of talent on the team.  If we can get that elusive complementary football thing down, we could at a minimum be dangerous.  I have no idea if we'll be a winner, but I'd be happy for a team that can play together.

    • Cant take him seriously because he likes Bryce sounds about right for around here
    • OK, let me first say that I can't get any Twitter link to embed--using "X" or "Twitter" or whatever, and I'm tired of trying. Now, I must say that I see Panthers stuff in Facebook on occasion as I'm part of some group, but I see Panthers stuff even less on the cesspool that is now X, but as a follower of the official Panthers Twitter, stuff pops up on that feed too. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised that agents of the organization would be putting out tweets like this: He's not even trying to be objective. It stands to make sense though. In order to get better information, you have to go to national sources like Kurt Warner.  I'm not necessarily trying to pick on J-Stew, per se, but I can't take him seriously, as even some past Panthers players, like Greg Olsen for example, don't seem like they're just trying to cater to Panthers Nation, just saying hollow words to make everyone feel good.  I just wonder why here on the Carolina Huddle, there seems to be more objectivity, or at least more critical thinking and serious discussion than most other social media sources on the Panthers. It's interesting. There is a significant difference.  For all the changes and the seeming decline in popularity to whatever degree, the Carolina Huddle still has its place and plays a big part in overall Panthers fandom. We want to be happy, joyous and cheer for the Panthers, but we aren't necessarily trying to shoot sunshine up people's derrières either.
