If you draft someone like Lewis, bringing his OC along would be a great way to ensure a smooth transition. As long as the OC is NFL ready of course. But coming in already knowing the language etc. would be a huge advantage and enable starting day 1.

His OC from last year is presently the Rams OC right now.

Honestly I don’t see what is so great about Levis. His stats aren’t that good. He doesn’t wow me on tape. I think a top qb should dominate in college

If not for Cam and Josh Allen Levis would be good prospect. Decent accuracy great arm. The thing is Levis can run like a bull and he's a load at 6'3" 230lbs so he's also a running back type in the open field every bit a Cam, Josh type.

Josh Allen is the thinking behind it for sure aka anther QB who didn't have "Great stats in college"

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
