Cooper Rush, Daniel Jones, Marcus Mariotta… all proving that you can have a benchwarmer or career-to-date below average QB and win games with capable and in places impressive offensive production.

Smart coaching helps...a lot.

But I'm not sure even Sean Payton could accomplish much with PJ Walker as his QB.

1) Chewing gum with your wife is no substitute for putting ketchup on a steak.

2) Fighting among coaches is more fun than when it's between the players.

3) Wilks is closer to looking and acting like Fred Sanford than I ever realized.

4) Can things get worse after Rhule??.............yes sir they can.

5) Robbie Anderson likes looking like a helicopter.

6) Old coach McAdoo had a farm Eee - i - Eee - i .......Ohhh no........

7) A black cat and colors of black and blue fit it all..........unlucky and beat up.

Its absolutely good enough to keep us in games and if we even resembled a pro offense were at worst sitting at 3-3 right now

I think you are right.  Defense generated 7 points yesterday and then played the second half without their 2 starting corners and it showed.  Offense generated 3 points.  You can only expect so much out of the defense.  They are not the problem.

It certainly feels that way, I just wonder though, obviously the players will play, but how does an organization start that conversation?

Feels like it would be a hard thing to sell Wilks on, he doesn't really gain anything by tanking - just further tarnishing his record as a HC, just to get let go at the end of the season.

Same with Fitterer - unless he was given assurances he is being retained regardless of the outcome of the season, which he may have been.

wilks is thankfully so bad and inept that him trying to win causes this.

At least these QB's are NFL caliber backups. PJ just isn't. He's only here due to multiple injuries. If we had cut him like planned (I assume), no one else was waiting in the wings to snatch him up.
