The Timing of our Rebuild is Ideal

It was ideal in 2020. Now is too late for our division.

No offense, but what are you talking about?  With Brady leaving, all 4 NFC South teams will be looking for a QB.  I'm pissed we didn't rebuild earlier, but given our division, having the #1 pick and a chance to take the best QB is objectively good timing.  Still doesn't erase the awfulness of the past 5 years, but we are certainly not too late given this division.

Seriously though, if the dynamic was Rhule had FINAL say on the draft, trades, and signing people he really wanted then I strongly feel that Fitterer and company (Morgan if he sticks around) have at least one draft where they can run things the way they see fit along with input from the new HC.

This HC having the final say was the knock on what Rhule wanted when he was the "hot" college HC candidate and MANY NFL teams didn't even take time to play his game.  Tepper fugged up bad by not firing Hurney and buying his BS a year too long.

We can only hope things can be turned around.  I hated the winning/losing/winning/losing season crap, but I would take that in a heartbeat after the last 3-4 years.  What I want is sustained success.

With a full compliment of 2023 picks again, I will be glad to see what Fitterer can do in a traditional GM role again.

But, if it looks a lot like his previous drafts, there is no Rhule there to blame. It will be on him.

That's exactly where i'm at. We got a good LT but the rest are.....meh. Here's to hoping

Yeah, it's been a little of whiffs with a lot of swings. There were some obviously pretty terrible and obvious Rhule/Snow picks, however.

Maybe Fitterer can prove to be much more of an NFL professional.

I will say the first two moves in the post Rhule era(trading Robby and CMC) have definitely looked like good moves. I can't fault him at all for what he got in return.

Hes trying to imply cam newton should have been your favorite player.

That’s what I’m hearing too. People can call me biased but I loved Cam while he was here and was objective with the timing of his play here. There have been many on here that have been itching at an opportunity to celebrate Christians injuries and ultimate departure since he walked across the stage on draft night.

    • They are 1 and 9 against the  Bucs in the past 10 games. the Panthers go as young goes.  QB1 ‘s are suppose to dictate and overcome  and elevate Everything the QB does affects every part of the team and Bryce is uneven. Canales and Bryce have  an uneven relationship too  as for Evero, the only thing that might save him is the injury to Baker’s left shoulder and oline injuries. I don’t even know how he is out there   I really feel their season ended last Sunday Canales’ division record isn’t great   Getting owned by the Saints and Bucs isn’t a good look
    • Frankly surprised by the amount of people that want to hang Evero. This was a defense that was almost universally considered the bottom of the barrel before this season started. We’ve managed to stat our way to the middle of the pack whatever that means. Those critical of the zone schemes, what do you want? When even JC is getting burnt one on one by Olave you have little choice. There definitely have been moments where the zone blitz stuff has bit us. That said, are the third string linebackers (and nick Scott) covering poo anyway? This unit had only conceded 10 points going into the fourth quarter despite a litany of bullshit penalties on both sides. Them over performing is the biggest reason we are still in playoff contention.
