You don't waste a top 5 pick on a QB that MIGHT be the answer.  You have to be 100% sure that he is going to be the answer.  We already have a QB that might be the answer on the roster.

Rhule kind of screwed us by not giving Corral Reps with the 1st string offense during camp, so now we are stuck with an unknown.

I'd rather take another position of need than to reach.  Stroud doesn't impress me.  He looked terrible against a team they should have blown out.  I know the wind was a factor, but he wasn't good at all.  IMO.

Young, is a very intriguing prospect but he also has major issue that he will face in the NFL.

It's going to come down to Fitterer and our staff as to whether any of them have a much greater upside than Corral.  If we pass on a QB in round 1 they may be able to wait until the early 2nd and still get a QB that has skills to play in the NFL.

I don't think it is a bad idea to trade down, get 2 first for our pick.  One in 23 and one in 24 and if Corral doesn't pan out, we can package those to picks to get a better QB prospect in 2024.

I, nor anyone here, is a professional scout and can say one way or the other how good a QB is in this draft. I have my opinion but that's just my opinion.   If we end up choosing a QB (Stroud, Young or any of these QBs) I will be onboard with that decision.  I just believe going into the 1st round with our only focus on a QB only is a mistake. We shouldn't draft one just because we need one when their skillset might not translate to the NFL.

We'll see.

Every QB is a might some just have less question marks. Corral is garbage having him as our only young QB would be embarrassing

Based on what?  A training camp where he was ignored.  You know nothing about this situation other than the desire to select another QB that may or may not be any better.

A draft position where 100s of player personal showed the world what they though of him. And then yes looking like garbage in preseason along with being injury prone. But he threw a ball into a net a few times so he’s better than much better prospects in your eyes

OK, Mel Kiper.

Anyone that bases Corral performance during the preseason as a precursor to how well he can play doesn't know much about football.  Any reasonable fan would know that Rhule wasn't going to give him a chance to play.  He saddled his horse on Mayfield and Darnold and that was it.   If you don't know that it kind of shows you're here just to Troll as I noted before.

You want to saddle next year to a 3rd round injured QB from a weak class and you call me a troll.

No such thing as 100% sure.  When you draft, you take a shot, and hope it works.  Anybody that says they are 100% sure is lying.

Mate he's improving every week with a guy called Darnell Mooney as his number 1 target. Watch him play now that the panthers game is over

Only reason I renewed my PSL.  was I thought for sure the dumb shits would draft Justin

You mean the same draft position as Joe Montana?

With at top 5 pick you damn sure better believe he's the answer.  You pass on a generational talent at another position and you bomb with a pick from one to five, as a GM you and your HC aren't going to be around long.

If you never land a QB the HC/GM won’t be around long either. Ask Rhule and now the Colts HC.

    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
