He may not be first in line on blame for those but unless he was screaming 'NO' then he was probably part of the problem. Just those 2 moves will is enough to fire a HC and/or GM. When they got Ryan I knew it was going to end poorly over there. And after Wentz like they learned nothing.

I don't know that he had much say in personnel decisions.

(he certainly didn't have Matt Rhule's contract)

All GMs listen to their coaches to some extent though, and it's not hard to believe Reich may have thought he could fix Wentz's issues

I'd take him as a QB coach for sure, possibly even as an OC.

Interestingly in a tangental tree to Steichen who followed the same LAC to PHI path as Reich.

Still want Steichen as HC more than anything and would trust with his staff build.  Especially how Herbert looks with him gone and Hurts looks with him in PHI.  He's got something going on.  He's got his pulse on the modern ballgame.

One could argue he masked them about as well as any head coach could have at this stage of his career.  Look at Wentz #s with the Colts last year and his #s with the Commanders this year.  Numbers don't tell the whole story of course but Wentz was producing way more across the board.

I think Reich will definitely get an interview here.  Experienced, offensive-minded head coach.  Not sure if we would hire him but an interview for sure

Roaring Riot is asking the question...

That wasn't Reich's fault, though he may have believed he could fix Wentz.

I know he was downright awful in that season finale game against Jax but stats wise Reich did a decent job with Wentz

Wentz threw a career high 15 ints in 2020 in 12 games. Reich brought that number down to 7 in 17 games in 2021. Wentz has 6 ints already this year in just 6 games

An ex-QB HC drafting HIS rookie QB in year-1 could not be set up better.

What experience does he have developing a rookie? Indy seemed to prefer the vet approach during his tenure.

I think I'd still prefer someone from the Shanahan tree.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
