The LA Rams are 3-7…. We had their second round pick this year

This place is absolutely insufferable.

Half of the posters who are complaining abt these picks aren't even in the scouting scene, let alone can barely tell you the players coming out THIS year let alone players two fuging drafts from now but will insist that two MYSTERY PLAYERS are better than our edge rusher because they COULD be top 10 picks.

unironically yes

id rather give a new coaching/fo staff their pick of players rather than waste time and cap space with mediocre hurney/rivera/rhule/fitt era players who are incredibly overrated by fans because this franchise has very little talent overall these days

yeah, it might fail and they pick shittier players than burns/moore, but this is already a failed franchise with 3 straight 5 win seasons.

Okay but see that doesn't mean get rid of any and all talent.

Like sure if the new staff comes in and trade Burns because he isn't a fit, sure, whatever.

But to act like Burns < Blind Picks just because a new staff is asinine, our pass rush is poo without him and it is not easy to build pass rush. It's one of those things I strongly feel we take for granted as Panthers fans because we've always had at least one 8-12 sack guy for a period of time.

I understand the sentiment of the thread but it's disingenuous to post this and act like their record would be identical with or without Burns. They lost on a last second TD against Tampa. You really think Burns feasting on the outside next to Aaron Donald wouldn't have been the difference? The game probably wouldn't have been that close, let alone a loss. I still don't think the Rams would be that good so being upset at the trade is still plenty reasonable. But quoting their record sans Burns is not totally valid.

lol I love this place. The Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda crowd definitely are entertaining.

The Huddle "We are not a destination for a good coach. Let's trade 2 of our best players. That should help.

By the time all those draft picks make the team. That shiny new coach may be gone from all the losing.

Half you guys are stuck in the past. And the other half is in worst case scenario for the future.

Sure make reading this place fun.

Considering the huddle has been right more often than Rhule and our GM the past 3 years, they might do better to actually listen to us.

    • It shows how short the actual span of a NFL career actually is.  We get caught up with the few guys that play until 40-years old, but that's an extraordinary tiny fraction of the League.  What you may or may not have intentionally done there is show how we quickly move off guys like that but are stubbornly hanging onto Bryce.  His new running mate, Kenny Pickett, drafted just one year earlier is already on his 4th or 5th team.  Kenny isn't horrible, but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB.  Some franchises get it, chalk it up as a miss and move on.  Others double down on trying to make things work until the relationship completely deteriorates. *cough* Dolphins and Cardinals *cough*
    • Winner of 7 vs 8 seed game gets 7th seed. Loser of that game plays against winner of 9 vs 10 seed game. Winner of that game (loser of 7 vs 8 against winner of 9 vs 10) gets 8th seed. So in reality if you make it to the 7 vs 8 game, it’s win and in for your team. Lose that game and you get another shot at getting in. If you have to play the 9 vs 10 game, lose once you are gone. Win the first game as a 9 vs 10 competitor and you still have to win again to get in.
    • DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, and Bradley Bozeman all started for the Carolina Panthers during Bryce Young’s rookie season. All 3 have announced retirement after two years.  Scott Fitterer was that bad.   And his #1 receiver Thielen also just retired
