How do you feel about CJ Stroud

I still want Stroud. Would take him or Young. Todays game did nothing to change my mind. He seems to be able to process what is on the field at an elite level, and he passes with pinpoint accuracy. We can work with that.

Just say no to Levis. Even with their win, his numbers were still pedestrian.

Friendly reminder before we curb stomp the Broncos tomorrow... I read this countless times... "if we hadn't won the meaningless game against (team X), we could have had ZACH WILSON."

I’m less frustrated about the QBs who we could have had if we tried to lose more, and more upset over passing on guys like Fields and Jones who went after we picked and chose a CB.

Jones?  Mac Jones?  Come on man. Horn is a championship piece.

Not him specifically, but that we passed in first round QBs when we have a need for them. And while we can clown Jones, he’s head and shoulders above anything we’ve trotted out on the field the last few years.

Fields? Yeah.

Jones? Hell no.

I hear you but a developing QB adds excitement to the franchise. A corner who is lockdown for the games he does play in,  but is making a habit of missing games, wasn’t worth passing on a first round QB yet.

I thought Mac Jones was a 3rd round prospect. I just saw him as a likely high end backup NFL QB I never watched him and saw a legit NFL starter. The arm talent just isn't there.

    • The preference for smallish NTs was bizarre to me. I mean, you're already looking for a bit of a unicorn with a NT anyway trying to find a guy who can consistently hold his ground against double teams. Now you want to find a smaller, quicker guy who can do it? Yeah, good luck with that...
    • Yep. I had 2 shoulder surgeries (same shoulder) in college. What you say is true because the joint is a ball-in-socket joint and not like a knee, which is a hinge joint.  Another reason (this from my orthopedic surgeon) it is more difficult to overcome is because people want and need to walk, so they are constantly rehabbing the knee.  You can protect the shoulder and avoid using it.  And you can play with a banged up shoulder because it does not reduce your game speed much.  As long as I kept my arm in tight (close to my rib cage) I was fine--but when I extended my arm, I felt vulnerable and it was weaker, it seemed. A shoulder issue was common with LBs.  I don't recall seeing a LB in the dressing room without a surgical scar on is shoulder.
    • F- pick. Taking a hurt RB is the dumbest thing a team starved for tallent could have done in the 2nd. As for planning for 2025, they could have just waited since he brought nothing to 2024. That entire argument that they were playing the long game is like such a copout, just admit it was busted from every angle. They bet poorly and lost. It was a dumb pick and a complete waste of a chance to pick up a meaningful player this team still desperately needs. Picks like that is why this team is picking top 10 ever y year.
