Could say the same for you people who think making the playoffs actually means anything.
Who’s to say you guys aren’t the real incels. Considering you only come out after the team has won.
Like a virgin who only comes out to creepily hit on a picture of a girl on the internet.
Pathetic.

backdooring our way into the playoffs because of a crappy division with 8ish wins would be catastrophic for this franchise on so many damn levels

Of course, I don't expect this to happen, but in the simmering cauldron of imagination, I ponder what it would be like if the Panthers win out or end up taking the division with an 8-9 record, Darnold suddenly finds "it" and the defense balls out. We go on a run and hoist the most unlikely of Lombardis. Wilks becomes a 20 year rock and legend at head coach, the talk of finding a franchise QB fades away, and we all live happily ever after. 😜

This level of imagination could be Dr. Phil stuff.

  • Panthers fall ass backwards in division title
  • Face Dallass in the playoffs
  • BoA is flooded with Dallas fans because Panther fans tapped out in October, don't even realize theres a playoff game
  • Dallas wins 34-13 or some poo, because they aren't a poo team, which is only what the Panthers can beat
  • Tepper hires Wilks full time
  • Years of mediocrity
  • ???
  • Tepper moves the team to OKC or Portland after declining ticket sales, delusional homers aren't enough to sustain billion dollar organization

The end

We win the division title in your scenario and you’re crying about it?

There’s a ton of speculation in that post. Last I checked we have beat Dallas twice in the playoffs at home.

This fanbase is SOFT.

-Panthers win first division title since 2015.

-Panthers host first playoff game since 2015.

-Panthers sign go to playoffs for first time since 2017.

-Panthers sign Wilks who is an actual NFL coach.

-Wilks gets to assemble an actual coaching staff that isn’t infested with Rhule’s guys.

-We draft AR or developmental QB and avoid the Levis, Young, Stroud busts.

-Extend Sam on cheap contract until young QB develops.( In this scenario he took us to playoffs)

-Use money from not trading the farm on a QB for other key positions (WR, Edge, MLB, TE)

-Use picks from CMC trade for key depth players.

- Develop a physical ground and pound offense to compliment a strong D and dominate a division that is crumbling at the right time for a number of years.

The teams that beat Dallas those two times would beat the ass of this team.
Do not disrespect those teams by putting them in the same category as this sorry team.
How dare you.

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
