QB Will Levis declaring for the NFL draft

I only see two quarterbacks: C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young that are worthy of being taken in Rd # 1 in the 2023 NFL Draft, in my opinion.

Those two are followed in order by  Will Levis, Tanner McKee and Anthony Richardson, 3 that are long shots to be  selected in 1st rd but more likely  2nd rd choices.

If C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young are both gone when the Panthers are selecting, I am wondering if they will roll the dice and pick either Levis, McKee, Richardson, or just chose the best player available?

If you are advocating for him to be drafted in the first you’re blind. He’s awful. If you’re not, I wouldn’t consider that “backing” and I would be confused as to why you’re quoting me.

I didn’t even realize Florida fans liked him until these threads started popping up.

I think the only Florida fan is @Varking. The rest of us are intrigued by his potential, as many NFL scouts are too apparently.

Hopefully you aren’t backing Levis since you have Kentucky in your user name…

So, by that criteria you would reject Lebron James, David Beckham, Dennis Rodman and Colin Kaepernick for having Biblically themed tattoos?  Seems pretty judgmental and narrow minded…

You know what I’m saying …and frankly no, I’m not a fan of those players either.    live a life that you don’t have to advertise Bible scriptures on your bicep

As far as Levis , I’m judgmental having watched him fail in big games for two years

his tape doesn’t lie and no, he isn’t the second coming  of Josh Allen

Speaking of QB's, how is Bryce Young 6' and Stetson is 5'11"? Bryce is clearly shorter

I'll tell ya how.  Because Bryce is 5'10" lol

I don't care how tall he is or how much he weighs. He plays with and against NFL size players every week. What matters is if he can play the position or not and take a hit. The answer to those questions is yes. Young has shown he's tough and plays QB better than any of the other guys in this class.

Don’t disagree on his ability but durability given workload in the pros is a lot more than college….there are 17 regular games plus 3  preseason plus all the other physical preparation work

his frame seems pretty small…it really has to be a concern and consideration

I'd rather take the chance on Young than a guy that seems to fold at the slightest pressure(Stroud), a guy that can't make good decisions(Levis), a one year wonder in a weaker conference(Penix/Nix), or the raw, but physically talented guy(Richardson).

whats your threshold for size for where you wouldnt draft him?  Its looking now at best he is 5'11 190.  At best.  But other scouts/analyst are pegging him 5'10 180ish.  I dont give 2 chits how he is playing now or who it is against that type of size puts a team behind the 8 ball from the jump for numerous reasons.

Not true. Kyler Murray knows he himself is too short.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
