Antonio Brown...

Mr. Scot

The man needs help and I hope he gets it. The system, however, is set up to not treat someone who has the wherewithal to refuse it and to shun those who are unable to pay.

It is a massively complex problem with no easy answers. In his case, he has enough money and people to shelter him from his actions that he may never get real help. And someday, he will hurt someone, and/or himself, very badly.

That actually sounds like a police attempt at de-escalation.

"See, There's this guy we're trying to arrest who's refusing to come out of his home. He hasn't technically threatened anybody but we can confirm there are guns inside."

"But hey, it's not a standoff" 😕

They don’t even know if he’s in the house dude and it’s for a misdemeanor

Does the average person shut themselves in a house for a misdemeanor?

It's not so much the details of the situation as it is that Brown is unstable.

We all know Brown is unstable but this situation isn’t anything remotely crazier than other stuff he’s been doing the last several years. Reporters are making it sound like they’ve got guns pointed at each other and Brown is about to go out suicide by cop which is ridiculous

Perhaps.

But the presence of mental illness is how stories that start off with "officer so and so was there to serve a simple warrant" end with "and the suspect was pronounced dead on the scene".

Police in a case like this are wise to show restraint and be extremely careful with their words.

Yes, he should get help ... after he serves time if he's convicted of domestic battery.

EDIT:

Nevermind.

A little more than that...

Threatening to shoot someone, especially as part of a domestic dispute, is a bit more than just throwing a shoe.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
