The Steelers aren’t a good matchup as they are better run defenders than pass and well that points to a reliance on Darnold

plus a little bit banged up with the WRs and Burns

that said, if they can’t beat a Trubisky led team, there isn’t much hope for the rest of the schedule   Panthers 17, Steelers 13   One of those TDs will be from the defense

I’d love for darnold to light it up but even last week, there were two throws that were easy picks…..it just didn’t happen

If Moore can't go or is limited it could be a blessing in disguise.  Our other WR are going to have to step up and make some plays.  They won't just key on Moore.  Pittsburgh's defense in no where near as good as they usually are.  Their offensive line is in shambles.   I watched a Youtube video from a Steelers standpoint and they didn't have much faith in this game.  They basically said their LT was a turnstile similar to M. Kalil.

What I do find that might be interesting is that they may stack the box but we are also bringing in more OLinemen in to open holes.  If we get into the second level we could have a few big runs.

Darnold has a history of at least one or two 'boom' games each season resulting in some fans wanting to sign him up for ten years & a billion dollars, [maybe a little over the top]. Hope he saves it for next week against Detroit. Game manager Darnold, Panthers 17-Steelers 14. 'Boom' Darnold, Panthers 35-Steelers 17.

    • And again, the TLDR of the above is........ My expectations for T-Mac's rookie season have nothing to do with him and more because of my expectations for the rest of the WR room. I think his 2nd season when we then lose Thielen and replace him by just shifting everyone else up a spot in the pecking order and replace him with an end of the bench guy, is when he explodes for a huge yardage season. XL and Coker wouldn't make a good 1/2 combo with Thielen in the slot.  But T-Mac as the 1 with Thielen in the slot has the real potential to make XL/Coker an actual elite 2/4 combo.  Drafting T-Mac drastically changes the potential impact of those two, if anything, that's the biggest thing taking him did to the offense. Because honestly, how many teams have a 3rd and 4th receiving option as good as XL and Coker?
    • good one though it’s really no joke. I know a few friends and family members that suffer with this condition.
    • There's nothing normal about a 73 year old dating a 24 year old and a wildly successful NFL coach going to the college level in his twilight years is unprecedented. Yeah, raving success or absolute clown show. We'll see how it plays out on the field but this is why I was always very apprehensive about going after Belichick. The odds of it going the clown show route seem to be increasing by the day.
