I think Payton's ego puts him in a potential team like LAC or DAL if they collapse. Both have QBs that Payton can hang his hat on like he did with Brees. 

Only way he comes to Carolina is if Tepper gives him crazy money and have a QB in the crosshairs to come here. Tack on the rumor that Glazer said earlier that Payton wouldn't want to come to CLT. I'm okay with it too....do not want to give up a first round selection for him.
