With what we are seeing here tonight, and plenty of other recent examples (Tua, AB) at some point everybody might need just to walk away.  These players are too big, too strong, and too fast.  With the type of hits that are happening now, this will only exponentially increase.

I don't enjoy watching people die.

I bet espn is regretting showing multiple angles of that play and the replay.  fug that was hard to watch after the fact

It looks bad enough on the NFL that they haven't already officially called this off. Feels like they're probably just scrambling with corporate sponsors and PR folks on how to handle this.

I don't normally say stuff like this, but Goodell should resign.

This is bullsh-t.

I honeslty dont know why they havent called the game.. but i doubt its money related. There may be legal matters attached to it that they are working through.

I dont know how the NFL operates.... but with the networks saying what they are saying... i doubt the NFL is looking for a way to continue this game on tv tonight. If anything they are holding out so they can say "he is fine" on live tv. Which is doesnt look like they are going to get that opportunity.

Obviously this takes second seat to the health and well being of Hamlin, but we very well may be watching the straw that breaks the nfl’s back. The juggernaut has a weakness and it is on full display.

Hopefully we get word that he is making a recovery soon.

Why is there such a long ass delay here???

Fans are still sitting in the stands and for what?

Do they SERIOUSLY EXPECT the game to resume?

They're just trying to figure out how to spin this from a PR perspective. They're probably on the phone with every major corporate sponsor.

This is a full-blown CYA effort right now and it's seriously tacky. All they gotta do is just come out and say that the game is postponed, an update will be provided at a later time and all thoughts are with Damar Hamlin and his family at this time.

    • I'm looking at the schedule and I see a 10+win season easy.  I think Carolina goes undefeated in the division.  I also believe that the Bears, Bengals, Lions, Browns, Steelers are very winnable.  Revenge game with phillips and the eagles could be a win.  Honestly only 2 games I see as chalking up a L to off the bat is the Seahawks and Broncos.
    • I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.  Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
