I saw that article.  It's funny how the author thinks a HC job with Carolina is worse than a OC job under a coach on the hot seat.  Reich would get at least 3 years to get things going here, provided he didn't flame out the first 2 like Rhule.  Whoever takes the OC job for the Chargers might get fired at the end of this next season with Staley.

I've heard analysts say the huge variety of run options is actually what makes Kyle Shanahan's offense so effective.

I would gladly welcome any semblance of Kyle Shanahan’s offense here in Carolina. It would be a refreshing change from the run, run, long pass/quick 3-and-out offensive playcalling we’ve become accustomed to, though it had been a bit more creative toward season’s end.

He had several as you know. He never won the division. Luck? No. Rivers? No. Brissett? No. Brissett arguably looked better as a Brown. Ryan looked better in Atlanta.

Reich is supposed to be the offensive guru. He's made questionable decisions as HC, and his offense looked like a mess under Ryan.

if reich was handicapped at all in indy, it was by irsay. 

That's debatable. 

Reich isn't exactly a poster child for sustained excellence. He has a LOT to prove.

I'm fine with Reich. I think a lot of the problems was the roster assembly up there under Broussard or whoever the GM was. Not to mention Irsay, and while Tepper is poo, HE AIN'T IRSAY. Continuity was beyond his control as Irsay kept wanting splashes (well poo so does this fanbase). But whoever takes over the deal better be four years and no more. We need the Bengals model to be successful. Just remember the Jacksonville game for the Colts last year and how awfully mismanaged that was. I don't think any of these three would serve as a good head coach, but out of the three, it should be wilks just because we know what we already have. If we have interviewed this many people and it's a no, and nobody has said from which side the NO came from, that is a HUUUUUUUUUGE red flag much like this past preseason.

then what about some young guy who has been a coordinator for 2-3 years and never lead a locker-room in his life?

Excellent work Mr. Scot!

It's a battle of two coaches with HC experience, had to overcome awful QB situations (one being washed vets; the other being former FRPs that flopped). Both also had rough ownership issues at their respective previous stops that led to unfair firings.  

I give the edge to Reich because he has won a SB as an OC, has a good coaching tree and brings an offensive approach for the first time in our franchise's history.

Great now I’m fully convinced Reich is the best guy for us and I’ll be pissed if it doesn’t happen.
