Lol go check out that division that year vs what Daboll did in his this year...LOL

It's ok. Losing for forever has driven us all mad and it shows because we are sick enough to still pay with money and time to take it lol

what a dumpster fire.. the alcoholic impulsive owner is making not only personnel decisions, but making decisions over starting QBs

id say god help them, but id rather them burn in hell so..

This is what I don't get about people saying "well Reich got fired for an inept offense and going 3-5-1." First, he was 3-3-1 and I think the Colts were in maybe 2nd place at the time in the AFC South before Irsay mandated he start Ehlinger. And secondly, yes it seemed like he was on his way to his worst record during his tenure, but that kind of thing happens to all head coaches (except for Mike Tomlin apparently). Don't forget, even Andy Reid went 4-12 and was fired before being scooped up by KC. John Harbaugh went 5-11 in 2015. Sean McVay just went 5-12. Kyle Shanahan went 6-10 in 2020. It happens.

agreed with this. it's a nice thought, but there would be too many issues involved. wilks won't take a back seat here nor should he and if he did, there would likely be a bit of resentment and behind the back talking among the team. and if reich were to take a back seat, wilks could never get comfortable because that's pretty much the situation we were in when wilks came in. wilks has played that game before, just on the other side of the equation.

it just would have too much static involved either way.

Been around here in a lot worse seasons.

Didn’t  jump onboard after SuperBowl season.

so the losing these last few seasons hasn’t made me go crazy.  Just realize that going with the flavor of the week Coordinator isn’t always the right move Vs going with a “retread”

Just like you’re  seeing in Jacksonville who took Pederson over Leftwich

What I don’t understand from the Wilks with Reich as OC crowd. If we use the Cardinals forcing hires and QBs on Wilks as a reason his Arizona days were so bad why would forcing coaches on him this time be any better. Feels like if you make the decision to hire Wilks giving him his own autonomy would be the right way to go about it. If you can’t trust him to hire his own guys what do you do if Reich leaves for another job and why do you hire him in the first place.

I wanted Pederson. Sucks we didn’t can Rhule at the end of his second season seeing how some of last years coaching hires have performed.

for all the talk about how Reich has great connections and could build a great staff (I don't disagree), the immediate success he had in Indianapolis was with a staff assembled by Josh McDaniels before he bolted.

Being able to win with a staff you didn't choose would actually be a positive.

This isn't entirely true. The only assistant coach hires were DC, OL, and DL coach before McDaniels backed out (DL coach was Mike Phair who ironically was hired as DL coach for one year under Rhule here in Carolina). And I think they'd probably speak highly of Reich for keeping them on when he could've told the Colts he wanted to bring his own guys in.

False
Siriani and co came with Reich.

They worked together in San Diego

Alan Williams (now Bears DC) worked with him in Indy previously.

I have been with this team since the beginning and along with PSL in the family since we played at Clemson. First game I went to was our home game vs the 49ers at the Clemson stadium.

It obviously has affected you because you are holding up Penderson and Jacksonville is such a sad flex. He walked into a franchise QB in the other weakest division. Anyone wanting to be Jacksonville is just sad.

I’ve said it many times, I think he’s being sold short.  I think he will have this team in the playoffs next season and do well in them. Not Super Bowl quality, but that is just lack of talent.  I feel Reich is too soft spoken and that won’t go well in the locker room.  I think he will be on the hot seat in 2 years tops.

These aren’t college players. Grown men can have a leader that they respect that isn’t a loudmouth. I’d rather have a guy that knows the game (on offense) and can be himself. Also, for all of Wilks loud speeches and stern attitude, he sure looked like a pussy when we played the Steelers and Tampa the second time.
