Will Kunkel's interview with Reich is set to air this evening I think...

Either way, I'm pretty sure fans will much prefer this answer over talking about "a seven year plan" 🙄

The man is consistent, talking here about how winning in the NFL is all in the margins as he did in his press conference. I can tell that there will be no mixed messages from our HC.

Kudos to Dave for taking ultimate responsibility for a bad hire.

Hate to keep beating up on Marty, but he should have realized after being a GM for two decades that Matt Rhule was a high risk gamble (coming from the college ranks) and not a good fit for a team with a new owner.

The 1st gamble was trusting Marty. But I digress and you’re right.

Darnold was very good when he came back from IR.

I doubt they bring him back because the new HC will want his own guy, but that stretch of 6 games was the best QB play we've seen in a Panthers jersey for a number of years.

Cracking Up Lol GIF

He had the worst single game passer rating in the history of our franchise to close the season against a mediocre Saints team starting Andy Dalton.

Stretch of 6 games = 1 game?

I mean he sucked royal balls in that 1 game.  No doubt about it.

But Oldham's point was the other games as well.

I'm not going to stick my head in the sand and ignore the 100+ QB ratings he got (which is tantamount to a Miracle) in those 5 other games. (well technically he had an 85 rating in one of them which we won)

You can not want Sam Darnold back and still acknowledge he was decent  for us (save for the sh-tshow at New Orleans(which we won anyway).

I'm ready to move on from him but not ready to ignore what I saw.

You followed this man to a new team I'm not expecting us to agree on this.

You shouldn't.

I'm not going to try to make you agree.

Just letting you know where I stand.

Won't ignore that he was for the first time in his career....EFFECTIVE...but am ready for a new Vet to sign (Brissett anyone?) here to hold the fort for whomever we are drafting.

This is why it's such a mediocre hire, imo.

They're not bothered at all that he's left.

I think it is unfair to say that until we see results... It is quite possible that he could learn from his mistakes and actually produce a good team here. I am not too worried what Colts fans think.

    • His stats pasted weird, so just know that its 2025 on top, 2024 in the middle and 2023 on bottom. I keep screaming to the heavens to draft production and this guy produces! Almost 1500 scrimmage yards last year, 1100 before that, and 600 as a freshman! My favorite stat? 0 fumbles! Hell, anything in the 5th round and beyond is just best guess anyway, not much to lose and a hellova lot to win. • He has a lot of contacts. It’s going to depend who wants to trade for him for a near nothing pick and I’ll explain why. Trading him keeps him out of the division if he’s released. Here are some people he’s worked with: Sean Payton- Den Brian Callahan-NYG Pete Carmichael-Buffalo Frank Reich-NYJ Josh McCown-Minnesota What we don’t want is him to get released and end up with: Alex Van Pelt- Atlanta (Former QB Coach) Kellen Moore/Doug Nussmeier-NO (Former OC/QB coach) Ken Zampese-TB (Longtime QB coach in Cincinnati) So if we can trade him to somebody outside the division for a 7th rounder that’s a win.
    • Math hasn’t always been my strong suit. But both my boys are good. My 19 year old is in school to be a diesel tech and my 22 year old is in his 3rd year of medical at Montreat college in Black mountain. One more year there to finish undergrad then 4 more years at USF. Yeah, I’ve done pretty well.
