I just don't see Reich picking up a vet at QB except to be be a bridge until the rookie QB is ready.

And from everything I am reading about Reich, he tends to like QBs with size so a guy like Bryce Young or a Brock Purdy like QB may be out of question.

Something screams Levis as a guy Reich would like to have.

Reich is a offensive minded head coach with experience in the NFL, experience getting more from lesser quarterbacks, and has little in the way of tangible connections to previous coaching staffs.

He could represent the clean break in a positive direction that many fans were hoping for out of the Matt Rhule era.

With the hiring of Reich I am pretty sure we have seen the last of the vet signings.  I would bet anything we are taking a qb in the first and let him develop that player.

Yeah we want him to draft and develop our new QB.  I am sure he wants to opportunity to do the same after his Colts history.

Fitterer will swing for the fences again and bring in some QBs. It actually won't be up to Reich to develop the qb as it will the OC and quarterback coaches who do the actually work.

That’s not always true.

If he is smart he wont try to do everything on offense. Most HCs who try to run the offense and call plays don't do it well. Everyone wants the next McVay but they aren't plentiful.

I agree he wont call the plays and the QC and QB Coach will be big of course but he definitely will be in the QB and the OCs ear in terms of development and gameplanning. That QB is going to be his golden goose.  Can still be a CEO Coach while taking a serious interest in the QB development path.

Same thought applies to those qbs in the draft, maybe 2nd or a 3rd , certainly not 9th overall.

Young is better than any QB in last year's draft or this year's. If the guy was 6'3" 220 or so, everyone saying no to a QB in R1 would be screaming he is the next generational QB and the Panthers should trade everything for him.

Despite Young's smaller size, he's still a top 10 QB.

Wont be there at 9...

Not worth moving up for.

It's not the bullets, it's the targets that are the issue.

Your opinion.. I think Young and Stroud are really good QB prospects.. And can be developed into top 10 QB’s..

Young is smarter and more accurate then Kyler.. And if he was 6’3 225lb He will be looked at like Lawrance.. With his ability..

And Stroud has the size accuracy and arm talent to be really special if coaching can pull more GA game Stroud and he uses his running ability more…

Both there stats and production are better and more consistent then a lot of QB’s been coming out lately..

so yes I especially think these 2 are worthy targets use a few picks to go up and get.

Your opinion...lol

Top 10 in the league? In what time frame do you see this happening?

If true we still pick 9th and they are not worth what it would take to do that, as was my original pt.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
