I like Joe but that's a little bit of a lazy article. Doesn't feel like he dug too deep for this one.

I did like this quote though...

One of the things that separated Reich from other candidates was the staff he told Fitterer and David Tepper he would assemble in Charlotte, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Reich could try to retain offensive line coach James Campen and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor after both position groups made big strides after their arrivals.

As much as I enjoyed Wilks coaching the team, I can't deny that Vic Fangio and Brian Johnson as Reich's coordinators would have had me lean towards hiring him as well. Fangio is a clear upgrade over Holcomb, and I can't think of many outside of one of the Turners that Wilks would have likely targeted to be his OC.

Man... this defense with Vic Fangio running it... 😮

I didn’t like Holcomb as DC.

the more I saw, the less I liked

I like coach Wilks. But were Holcomb is concerned, he needs to take his own advice from the ‘buddy vs friend’ perspective

granted there were few coaches left on staff post Rhule, but it was pretty clear Al would have been his DC going forward.  Truthfully, and I remember when Wilks finally became DC for Rivera…it wasn’t that great.

But it is time for an offensive coach as the Tampa game clearly showed…and a real  qb and qb room, a true complimentary speed WR for DJ and last but not least, a TE without hands of stone

so i googled eich and fangio because i was a little bored and i found this fun little read from a few years back...

https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2019/10/25/vic-fangio-says-frank-reichs-owed-him-dinner-since-his-carolina-days/4074869002/

the two have a good relationship going back even to that inaugural year and a solid respect for each other as coaches. i'm hoping that Fangio looks at a chance to coach with Reich as something that is too hard to pass up and that Tepper throws enough money at him to make it impossible to pass up.

If we could somehow swing Stroud and then Jalin Hyatt in the 2nd. Maybe take up Eric Ebron on his offer to play TE for his hometown team. He put up good numbers with Reich at the Colts so it would be an easy vet addition

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
