Yeah, people here foolishly thinks my picks are for best this best that.

Anybody that's been paying attention knows I'm not picking "the best". My picks are the most underrated capable of top performance if given the chance.

Justin Herbert was my underrated guy when everyone was all over Joe Burrow. Finding those diamonds in the rough can lead to long term success when you've done your scouting and your homework on a player.

IF Matt Corral can be the guy he was supposed to be as a projected (not by Ripp, by many experts) late first rounder, we hit the jackpot with a third round contract for a guy who may more likely than not give the same performances that made him a blue chip recruit we'll before his outstanding 2yrs at Ole Miss a non powerhouse program.

The real goal to sustainable success is not drafting Drake Maye or Cam but if you can find a Tom Brady or Russell Wilson of your own so you can pay for elite defenders.

Justin Herbert, the top 10 pick diamond in the rough…. What about Trask and Carson Strong??

People want to pretend like they know the next great QBs, the one guy even claims to have an “algorithm” that can predict it. Let’s be honest most professional scouting teams miss more than they hit on QB prospects. We all will have terrible takes for or against QBs in the draft, it’s just part of it.

Matt Corral may have the tools, but he is one of those made of glass players that can't stay healthy. I mean the dude couldn't get out of preseason without a serious injury. And he's had problems in college too. He's not someone you can count on to be a starter.

Most of the players we speak of as being busts is because they had their opportunity in the NFL and couldn't make it because of x.

Matt Corral is being counted out by these huddle chuckle heads just for that reason(chuckleheadedness) You could give logic doesn't matter the Panthers draft said player they hate and NOW because they are in charge a guy they drafted and are paying paychecks to has absolutely no opportunity to play because, because....ripp said so. That's the garbage take.

Matt Corral isn't there for his looks or because he smells good, they courted him predraft and moved up to get him.

The real delusion is the Panthers won't play him.

Also, don't forget, EVERY QB got injured by Matt Rhules line early in the season except PJ because they hadn't figured out who was going to start until AFTER training camp. You know, coach by committee.

Corral will get his chance because Fitterer and David Tepper were high on him and THEY want to be correct even more than our own huddle mouth breather Panther/Young Lion haters.

They're going to draft who they want regardless. Just don't throw the bank and draft picks at Derek Carr. It will only end in catastrophe.

Don’t think they will have to throw draft picks, maybe 30 mil/year which isn’t bad for a QB like him.

I would rather use the draft picks on skill guys tbh.

30 million a year!? And what if he is proven to be damaged goods? He'll be 32 when training camp rolls around. We can't afford to take an L on another high risk signing like that.

    • It will be really interesting to see how both sides handle this. I'm sure the team would love to get him signed to a 4 year deal based on his output so far and some potential factored in, i.e. something like a 4 year $30 million contract.  But I could see his agent telling him the best path is to take the one year offer, put up a big year next year and then really cash in. The team also has to keep in mind T-Mac's 2nd contract, which likely will happen after the 2027 season assuming he keeps improving as expected.  Even if we could get him on a budget 4 year deal for what he could become, the problem then becomes when he wants to re-negotiate in 2 years during the same summer we will extend T-Mac, and you don't want to spend that much on WRs in one offseason, just see the Bengals this last year. Taking everything into consideration, I'm thinking the 1 year deal and then getting him to sign a 4-5 year deal after hopefully say a 800ish yard season next year might be best for our cap situation and separate his and T-Mac's negotiation periods.
    • And yet jax made it no further than we did, and its very possible the Pats don't either. I think it speaks more to the overall down year for the nfl as far as having great/dominant teams, every team this year has fatal flaws that can be exploited
    • Ehhh I agree the nfc is stronger this year but their really werent any truly dominant teams this year everyone is flawed, I think the narrative for the NFL this year will to try ahd force a Josh Allen SB win
