Not trading Burns is looking like a real good idea now with Evero being brought in

Exactly. But surely having an extra 2nd round pick this year would have been an enticing carrot for him to pick us over the the Vikings right? 🤣

Wonder if Luke wants to be involved more now?   Seems like he would be a natural fit with Evero.

OMG imagine Luke coming in as LB coach for a few years and the stepping into a DC role, where I think we all can agree he has the potential to be amazing.

I hope he sees that we are better suited for a 3-4 or atleast a hybrid that can adapt to the personnel of the team we are playing. We need to get heavier up front and pair someone with DB so he can unleash his pass rush and not just be a run stuffer. We need to bring in some athletic intelligent LBs and possibly get a new FS and move Chinn to LB/SS.

I wouldn't undervalue Haynes with the defense we will be shifting to.  I think he could be a 70%+ snap guy in what Evero brings.  This also opens the door for some really cool mid-rounders at EDGE.  Nolan Smith, Byron Young, & Nick Herbig all become very interesting all of a sudden.

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
