Poll: What do you want Panthers to do for QB?

I would like to gauge where we stand as a fanbase on this topic.  A lot of people seem to be warming up to idea of signing another free agent instead of drafting a potential franchise QB. What say you?

I voted stay put and take the best available. However if Reich and McCown agree on a QB then trade whatever it takes to get him.

I'd like to trade up for Stroud.  I'd like to trade up for less than Stroud for Young.

but I don't like the whatever it takes tagline.  There are limits.

My choices in order:

 

Trade up to 3, grab the QB they like the best out of who’s available. 
 

Trade up to 1, go ahead and give up the farm and get exactly who they want. 
 

Sign Carr, draft BPA at 9. 
 

I don’t want us to sit at 9 and take the leftovers from the QB spot. Last option for me.

Sign Carr as bridge. Get Stroud or Young (ideally Stroud) even if it means trading up.

I wasn't crazy about the idea of signing Carr originally. But with the staff we have now, I've warmed to the idea of having Carr as a bridge. Draft the best guy available at #9 and let them develop behind Carr.

I would just trade up with the Bears for our guy. Don’t want the leftover of the top 3, I want the one you think will be a top QB. 

It would be pricey but it’s time to take a shot. We’ve got the right QB mentors in place.

What I gather is that the shot everyone is speaking of is a shot on their preferred qb. If it's not their preferred guy then it's not considered taking a shot?

My honest answer would be "whatever this staff wants".

We've got a smart coaching staff with tons of NFL experience, including plenty in the quarterback department.

I'm on board with whatever they think.

• Sign Darnold to two year, 5 mil per year deal if he'll accept.
• Wait until draft night for any trade up since a team like the Colts could jump us if we move to 3 too early.
• If the right guy (Young or Stroud) is there at pick #3, make the call.
• If Young & Stroud are both gone by pick #3, trade down and select BPA.
• Draft Hooker with our 3rd or 4A pick.
• Play Darnold the first 5 games. If we're 3-2 or better, keep rolling until we're out of playoff contention. If we're 2-3 or worse, insert Hooker/Corral to see what they have. If they don't have it, it doesn't matter and stick with them putting us in good position to grab a QB in the 2024 draft.

I hate Matt Rhule and his selection so much right now. Because we feel the need to rush this process now. We have zero patience. We have the staff we should’ve had before. Either go all-in and trade up for YOUR guy or trade out of 9 and do the same thing next year with two first rounders. DO NOT get a guy just because he was there.
