Todd McShay seems to really like Anthony Richardson

I'd rather have Richardson at 9 then Stroud/Young at 1 with what it will take. However if things get crazy and Stroud/Young is still there at 5 I think you have to go get him. I think the pre draft is always QB crazy and we know the Colts are stupid so I could see

1) Jalen Carter - Bears: stay put after all the trade back talk and stick to their roots and go defense

2) Young - Texans: Nothing to be said here, best QB in the draft as of right now.

3) Will Anderson Jr. - Cardinals: New defensive head coach and the best player in the draft, prob a no brainer if he's there. Dark horse - Quentin Johnston cause Kyler throws a fit for a new WR

4) Levis - Colts: Do their thing and take the guy who got hot throwing in shorts and t shirts at pro day

5) Stroud - Panthers: First trade of the day, give up one of our 2nds this year, 9 this year, 1st next year and 3rd next year.  Alternative - Colts go Stroud and we do the same to move up for Levis (where at that point I'd rather stay at 9 for AR)

That is a lot for 4 spots (I know there would probably be a bidding war for that pick though). I would like to think 9 and 39 or 9 and next year's 1st would be enough. I think the teams behind us in the draft (that need a QB) would have to give away a ton to beat that out. The question would come down to what LV or ATL would offer to try and get a QB (if ATL wants one).

Or, at least, his potential.

"Frank Reich has got — if this were to happen, he's got to have a plan. He's got to have a veteran and trust the fact that he's going to need at least one year (of sitting behind and learning). But Anthony Richardson could turn out to be Jalen Hurts or one of these top quarterbacks in the league, so I think he's got a chance to be special — but he's not ready yet."

I think with this coaching staff in place, we'd be a great landing spot for him to develop. Which is weird to say after sitting through 3 years of Rhule's QB diarrhea carousel.

I watched all his games. All of his TDs are over the top of the corner because the safety bit on the play action after 15 straight runs. Watch his games where his has to hit a corner route on 3 & 10 or he has to read the triangle in a mesh concept. He freaks out and runs or throws a duck.

Zero chance 9 and 39 gets you there when it’s potentially the #2 QB you’re bidding for. Maybe 9 and next year first but I still think you’ll have to toss something else in.

As I have said a million times im totally fine with any of the top 4 QB's in this draft.

Please just no more bridge QB's. If we go bridge just sign Brissett for cheap and have him teach the rookie along the way.

Some of these “bridge” quarterbacks are going to want more than you think. I think there was a reason the Panthers signed Jacob Eason.

Name one other FL player form offensive that going to be drafted this yr.......and do it quickly.....OK now theres a understanding.

AR is my #2, being an upside sucker and AR is alllllll upside.

If Stroud doesnt make it to 9, I'd support AR there.....but I have a big doubt he will after the pro day and combine. He should put on a SHOW.

I believe if you really want him much like Corral last year, I think he falls out of the first round.  Too many questions about his accuracy which is key to be a top tier QB in the league.  The body of work you have to grade him on is very small and I just don't see teams taking him at a high pick.  I may be wrong, but I think there is enough concern about his passing ability to give teams pause, but somebody may get all wrapped up in his combine stats and pull the trigger.  I would not use #9 pick on him.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
