Still nearly all secondary sources...

I'd need better sourcing.

Kleiman is generally decent even if most of what he does is just retweet other people's news. I've seen him get fooled before though.

A lot of the phony Twitter sites like NFLrums and ML Football have taken to attributing stuff to legitimate reporters to make them sound credible.

but a NFL team is really no different than a politician.  They all speak in half truths and aren't afraid to flat out lie about what they are doing.

TBH, Aaron is a douche, but if you ask me, this move would make a ton more sense if we're drafting AR with our first pick.  Rodgers isn't gonna be looking for 5 years.  Maybe 3 max.  He honestly might not even be thinking about playing beyond next season.  He's essentially been playing on one-year deals for the last 2 or 3 seasons, iirc.  Also, DJ and TMJ would be the most talented receiver duo he's played with in years. He'd be the perfect bridge and makes much more sense from a fit perspective than Carr and a rookie.

If we were to make this move, you can also expect a ton of high-end vets looking for one last run to join here on one-year sweetheart deals, much like the huge infusion of talent the Bucs got when Brady joined there.

I like it.  Also, I kind of had a feeling, because when Florio asked Reich about it, Reich's laugh was pretty telling...  it made for an uncomfortable moment.🤣

I also just can't imagine the Packers could demand much as Aaron has the leverage there and he's 39 years old regardless...  this is interesting.

Sometimes, yeah.

I'm pretty sure this story is someone trying to grab some insider credit, though.

    • I'd love blue to be the new primary.
    • not sure if any of this is news, but a good summary of our situation heading into training camp.  It's sure gonna be good getting Derrick back. After missing virtually all of the 2024 season, Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown is aiming for a full return to the field during training camp later this summer, per Joseph Person of The Athletic. Brown tore his meniscus in Week 1 and underwent season-ending surgery that has kept him limited through spring practices, though he did participate in “walk-throughs and light side work” during mandatory minicamp, according to Person. Brown originally stated a desire to be ready for the 2025 regular season, but his timeline appears to have moved up. Brown’s injury was particularly disappointing after a career-best 2023 season. He led all defensive linemen with 103 total tackles and was named to his first Pro Bowl, earning him a four-year, $96MM extension from the Panthers in April 2024. While he has never been a prolific pass rusher, Brown’s size and power has consistently commanded double-teams and created opportunities for his teammates. His impact was evident last season, as Carolina’s run defense ranked dead-last in his absence. The Panthers spent significant resources this offseason on defensive line depth, which should allow them to manage Brown’s usage more carefully coming off a major injury. He played a whopping 940 defensive snaps in 2023 (89% of the team’s total) and was on the field for almost every play before his injury last year. With new teammates Tershawn Wharton, Bobby Brown III, and Cam Jackson ready to share the load, Derrick Brown can take a lower snap share to stay fresh and healthy for the entire season.
