Stephen Ross don’t give a fug and will have the dolphins in on Lamar and when he complains because the league comes after him for something it will be hilarious.

They don’t have a first this year and for this trade I think you have to.

You can't help but wonder where Lamar Jax would be right now with an agent.  Did he screw himself here?  I think he did, but details will be available soon.

All you really need to do is look at the Josh Norman situation before and after having a real agent to get the answer to that.

Its not odd. To you maybe, but I expected this to happen.  I think Lamar is about to find out he's not going to get the kind of contract he wants.

What's happening right now has a similar feel to the contracts right before the rookie contract went into place. I think teams are going to get to a point and say this is as much % of our cap as we're paying and that's it. Those rookie contracts used to cripple teams when they didn't work out and these mega contracts have that same feel.

He got traded to a team of his choice still after his legal issues and still got a poo ton of guaranteed money?

Watson wasn't franchise tagged. He was under contract when he held out.

Even so, after two years off, he now looks a lot worse and his situation has made it a lot harder for anyone else to get a deal like that.

I get it, but he ultimately got what he wanted. Rodgers also was missing camp and got what he wanted from GB. Players still have more control that people think. SizzleBuzz refused to believe it as we all watched Watson strong arm the whole Texans organization even through all his legal issues and walk away rich.

Don't remember exactly, but didn't Cam want a guaranteed contract after his last shoulder injury? I seem to remember something about that and then letting him play out the one year remaining. I tried to find it but didn't have any luck.

That was an unfounded rumor that got perpetuated around here.

He's won 75% of his games as a starter.

lol some of you dudes just don't want this guy which is fine. Just admit you don't wont him. But when you push a narrative like this dude has fell off is just not true.

How has he fell off when he's winning 75% of his games as a starter?

Wins are a team stat, not a player stat.

    • Interesting topic.  I have had a few NFL friends and one told me that he could not work out or train unless the activities and facilities were approved. AI: In many NFL contracts, certain activities are restricted, and injuries sustained during those activities can lead to the voiding of contract guarantees or even the entire contract. These restrictions often include dangerous activities like skydiving, rock climbing, or even engaging in contact sports like boxing. Additionally, injuries sustained while working out at non-team facilities or during personal recreational activities may be classified as "non-football injuries," potentially impacting the player's compensation.    Having said that, I question the reason the person filming this was not helping.  Secondly, the decision to put it on social media makes it seem a bit prearranged.  I do not think this would violate his contract, but I do think it is a bit stupid on his part in that he could be injured.
    • Doesn't make it right.  And as you put it, you wanted to ban him from being country, which is essentially policing who he is as a person lol  I get protecting the "asset", but banning people from living their life is crazy. Russell Wilson likes to play helicopter pilot.  I would deem that WAY more dangerous.  Those things scare me.  I still wouldn't want to keep him from doing it if I were his boss.  I would just try not to think about it, haha.
    • Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.
