Draft is a fuging crapshoot especially with qbs. I’d pick CJ but any of these guys could bust or just be average. Even Andy Reid who is like the qb whisperer of qb whisperers said he was shocked at how good Mahomes turned out. It’s just one of those things. Little bit of luck and a little bit of wisdom on traits you look for in a successful qb. I hope we get this right. Make panther games fun again.

You do realize we just got rid of a coach that most Huddler's were smarter than, correct?

I mean we all like to joke about how we make better decisions than a coaching staff, but in Rhule's case, the Huddle was literally predicting the success or failure of players months before Rhule figured it out.

In my opinion, the staff is what allows me to trust them to pick their guy, they got enough experience on staff for 3 teams!  No matter who they draft, I trust that they will be able to develop said QB.  So them entertaining all the QBs and sending out all the smoke screens, I love it, watch them f around and finesse a team out of some draft capital and/or a player.....

That's because we were using the wrong criteria.  If you are a true BS artist, the number one criteria is whether the player will embrace the BS.  I'm not sure Rhule has figured out his failing in the NFL to this day.

Frank Reich has worked with larger sized QBs in the past who are accurate and have the NFL smarts. CJ Stroud has those traits right now, Bryce Young is also just a total baller in a smaller package. Reich also is a very outspoken man of faith and Stroud is that as well as being the son of a preacher. Bryce Young is also an outspoken man of faith, I can see us going with either guy from Reich's perspective. I really do think it's just going to come down to Stroud's size being the deciding factor.

CJ Stroud's dad may be a preacher but he is currently in Jail for "carjacking & kidnapping" and not eligible for parole until 2040.

Let me be clear, That has nothing to do with CJ's character or his ability to be great on & off the field.

But let's not bring up his dad's being a preacher as for a reason why Reich should/will pick him over others.

I know the staff will pick the best player/person for the organization.

You blindly following the coaching staff is really pathetic.

Actually, I'd call throwing a fan tantrum When not even a single game has been played or a single play has been run kinda pathetic.

There's nothing noble or special about declaring that you're no longer a fan of a team because of some football decision they made. It's actually kind of silly, and frankly nobody gives a rat's ass. It's just sports.

For me? Hell, I sat through three years of Matt Rhule, fifteen years of Marty Hurney and twenty-five years of Jerry Richardson. Damned if I'm gonna bail on the new guys before they ever even hit the field 🙄

Took actual games to figure that out though 😄

And honestly, I wouldn't even necessarily try to say that I know football better than Matt Rhule (though it's tempting).

As I've said many times before, it's not anybody's job to be smarter than me. Their job is to be smarter than their counterparts on the other teams.

Clearly, Rhule was not.

Something tells me that as long as they win with whoever they pick, they're not gonna give a sh-t how the other guys are doing.

When it all comes down to it, that's all that matters, that your guy works for you. AR will be a beast but again, if refs call games differently because of his stature, there goes the upside. Because of that Cam, who was more refined coming out, had to focus on playing the game the NFL wanted him to play as a QB or get absolutely rocked without a yellow flag to be seen.

CJ is day one ready in all aspects of the NFL QB traits.

Young is a HUGE risk and could be a liability because of his small stature at the NFL level. He's smaller than Tua. I wouldn't want to be responsible for what I think would happen to him in the NFL in a matter of time.

Get LOUD!

    • We have taken two TEs in three seasons I think, and Sanders may not pan out or it may have been a sophomore slump, but we took a guy last year that was coming on.  I am not in favor of TE in round one and really don’t consider it a high priority in any round.
    • Trevon Moehrig, Turk Wharton, Bobby Brown, Jaelen Phillips, Devin Lloyd, Nic Scourton Giving him 6 starters in 2 offseasons that cost boat loads of money or a 2nd round pick... Not exactly handing the man scraps. The point of the draft is to make the team better. You want to make this about Bryce. It isn't. It's about improving the team. And if anyone can look at our offense and go "we're good", they are lying to themselves. You give quarterbacks weapons. We SCREAMED for YEARS to give Cam some help. But now because we are trying to do it for Bryce, you all are saying we are coddling him because of his "deficiencies". It's a double-standard because you don't like the guy, clearly. But even if he does fail, guess what? The next guy has help too. Win-win.
    • we have 2 solid/above average (however you want to phrase that) wr's, which is more than half the league at least.  We dont need to be blowing more first round capital just to placate Bryce and his limitations.   We have one absolute stud (probably top 10 wr) in tmac and we have a high floor guy with insane potential if he can stay healthy.  Yeah man we are in better shape than the bulk of the teams in the league.  If you need to add some speed or whatever, sure draft in the mid rounds or wait until tc cuts.  Its monumentally stupid to spend 3 straight firsts on a wr if thats the route they go.  ITs just more and more excuses for Bryce, thats where we are at now.    "How can bryce succeed without a big possession type wr (drafts 2 for him), how is bryce supposed to exceed without a speed guy......."   Its fuging never ending.  Give EE some goddamn help on defense for once
