Panthers to sign Miles Sanders

Historically, on the first day of free agency, (and the tampering period) contracts have been huge.  However, this year, Fitterer has gotten early bargains, imo.

Side NOTE:  NFL Network thinks the only news today is based on an Aaron Rodgers Zoom.  Man they need focus.  All day long--Rodgers.  nobody wants that all day long--that is like having a turd as your screen saver.

I'm just sharing what buddies are saying. 😂

Your buddies didn't say anything about Funchess, that was you. There's no comparison between Sanders who had a good year and Funchess who didn't prior to them signing with new teams.

huge props finnessererer, nice value signing on day one, two, and three.

Value is right.  No huge contracts--all in the 6-8 million range for 3/4 years--except Dalton.

dalton is only "meh"(5 teams 5 years) and I dont know either on DLmen. But like you said, these are not derek carr 150 million while the team is 50 million in the red.

These are the type of deals you see 3 weeks after the first day. Credit to other teams as well, seem like everyone learned to calm down......

I think Dalton is the kind of player who can come in and not kill you, lots of starting experience.  Good mentor.

Fit has done nothing but bring value to this team ever since he became our GM. Thats what a GM is supposed to do and why hes the best we have had. Its not his job to coach.

Sharpen your knives and bring it @Basbear

Dude only played 12 games his second and third years in the league. His first three years he averaged 813 yards a season on an average 160 carries. In his contract year, he finally plays the whole season and greatly outperforms his previous years to the tune of 1269 yards on 259 carries. A huge jump like that in production in a contract year is a bad sign especially when he had career lows the previous year.

Just when you think the Panthers might be getting smarter, they do the same stupid poo they've always done and vastly overpay a running back. They should have signed someone at or just above the vet min or even better, signed an undrafted rookie free agent.

It's like hurney-e1500476674184-1080x675.jpg

is still in the building and never left.

Sorry Basbear, my heart really isn't in it.

6.25 per year

Good deal pending getting a true #1 WR

If we don't get a #1 it won't make sense, as we could have put the money towards a WR and drafted an RB in the 3rd or signed someone on a dirt cheap 1 year deal, like Foreman did.

If we go into the season with TMJ or a 2nd round pick as the #1 WR, this won't look like a good deal anymore.

    • I mean, CMC had almost 1100 total yards and 7 TDs his rookie season.  I don't recall people calling him a bust but there was criticism he needed to bulk up and change for the NFL and of course the should you really draft a RB that high talk given what you can get elsewhere.   and he spent the offseason putting on tons of muscle and getting jacked.   Which was basically the talk of the board as camp approached.  And that 1100 season was then followed by an almost 2k season.  what did Bryce do? Watched Netflix and you tube....per Bryce.  So it's hard to really think we will see a CMC uptick in year 2 when our QB took the offseason off of football.
    • Cuck the Fowboys...
    • I'm old enough to remember the people who wrote CMC off after his rookie season.  Was too small, couldn't break tackles.  Was a completely wasted pick.  Complete bust to take him top-10 when the Saints drafted the OROY (Kamara) in the 3rd Round. We live in a hot-take society.  I hope Bryce does better and 100% think he can, but none of us have a crystal ball. Just interesting how things have changed (i.e. CMC vs. Kamara).  And it's like that with multiple players. Cam was never seen in the same vein as Andrew Luck of RG3 early on... the NFL creates their own narratives, and many of them outlive their actual truthfulness. It is still wild to me the amount of hate Bryce has received. Let's see what this season brings...
