Bears would have accepted Moore, Burns or Brown.

I can see it. My problem with Brown is a DT picked it in the top ten should be a QB killer type. Not just a run stuffer. He’s had one really good year in the NFL now. Let’s hope he builds on it and adds another element.

Let’s put it this way, our staff thinks he is more valuable than DJ according to that report.

I think the Bears valued DJ the most out of the three. Young WR under control with a friendly contract for a few years. Helps out Fields and rounds out their WR room. Burns is basically just a rusher and Brown is just a run stuffer. They got more boxes checked with DJ.

Hopkins killed it with worse QB play at Houston that’s a true Alpha DJ Moore imo had the skills to do it he just doesn’t have that killer mindset to take that next step

Hopkins had Matt Schaub (2013), Ryan Fitzpatrick (2014), Brian Hoyer (2015), Brock Oswieler (2016) , Tom Savage/ Deshaun Watson (2017)  Dehsaun Watson (2017 - 2019), Kyler Murray (2020 - present)

I think it's very debatable to say Hopkins had worse play at the QB position compared to DJ Moore.

Not wrong seems like drafts are spitting out talented WRs all over the place lately

theres a million of them.  and the right combination of them and offensive system, you can get away without having some superstar WR.  See KC.

Meanwhile good interior defensive lineman are incredibly valuable, are always going in the top 10, because if you can get ran on in the NFL, you are fuged.  meanwhile you can find another WR a whole lot easier.  Disagree with Varking strongly

    • While I agree I would like to see Horn in more man coverage, good luck doing that when you have no pass rush and a LB/S corp that couldn't cover a senior citizen in coverage... Don't get me wrong, I hate how much we run DropZone coverage and give up underneath routes for cheap first downs. That being said, we are a bottom five talent defense in the NFL and somehow have been average on the year (and his defense is the reason why we have over half our wins). We can all hate his strategy of bend but don't break, but that's the strategy most DC's use now. Make a team have a 15-play drive touchdown on you - odds are, there will be some kind of penalty or negative play that will make a third down conversion difficult. I really would like to see Evero run our D with either a legit pass rush or Beason/Luke/TD caliber LBs. That luxury would give him more chances to run exotic blitzes or man coverage blitzes
    • Is anyone else confused why this guy has been in our forum since the packers game? Like, I'll take the good will I guess. Just weird to be in here rooting for us for like 2 months
