The Panthers didn’t even exist yet when the Bears accomplished all of those things.

Since 95 The Panthers have appeared in 2 Superbowls compared to the bears 1 and have won their division 6 times to the bears 5.

Also since 95 the Panthers have 9 playoff wins to the Bears 3.

The Panthers have clearly been the better team since their inception.

That’s honestly not that great or big of a difference. People get mad but the Jets and Jaguars and Bears are in our tier. Hell the jets are almost exact in W/L since inception and are one championship game away. Same with Jags. In fact, there is no other team in the entire league more similar - let that sink in.

Yet people still mock those teams, clearly our fans can’t see their homer delusions.  Ironically, those are the reasons these people also hate Cowboys fans.

We aren’t the Lions, Dolphins, or Browns yes thank god. But we aren’t much more than that either.

I've been on the huddle since 2010 iirc. I've only had 2 avatars. I had one of an anime character for several years, I got excited about CMC in 2017 off-season and changed it that once

EDIT changed it to a CJ Stroud in in black panthers uni

sorry bud, you going have to find a new one after draft

fwiw I have seen some national media recognize this team could turn it around rather quickly

from Nfl.com recent power rankings, which place the Panthers at 18

After years of being left standing in the game of quarterback musical chairs, the Panthers finally took matters into their own hands. Carolina sent multiple draft picks and star wide receiver D.J. Moore to the Bears in exchange for the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. While team brass decides on the next QB1, GM Scott Fitterer has stayed busy building up the roster for new head coach Frank Reich. Wide receiver Adam Thielen, running back Miles Sanders and tight end Hayden Hurst were added to the offense in free agency, with Andy Daltonimported to presumably back up the eventual No. 1 overall pick. Hit on the QB, and this team could get very good, very quickly.”

Thank you. Bears have nor been relevant since the rap video with Jim McMahon. Just saying. For a young franchise we did good till we didn't.  Thanks Rhule and the latter years of Ron running two yes two Superstars into the ground to be middle of road average. Bears are trash. Monsters of the Midway is but a distant memory. That said they trending up. But so are we.  Thanks bears for that top pick.

If you stank then you still probably stink. No matter how stellar your offseason was the odds are that a stinky team with all new staff and a rookie QB is still gonna stink(at least the first year).

It’s just conventional logic.

If the pick is Young then people will really want him to fail to prove themselves right that a small QB can’t cut it.

If the bears look strong early in 2023 then the media will be salivating for them to have a shot at Marvin Harrison Jr with a high 1st.

Overall the Panthers failing will be a much more exciting national story than success unless the team storms out of the gate. Then by mid season we’ll be the dark horse SB pick clickbait that pisses everyone off.

It's weird ya'll folks can't handle the simple concept of let this team prove something. There are no offseason champions. We all want to be in the playoffs competing but nobody on the Panthers is getting a free lunch off offseason hype.

    • okay I found this and it sounds like my hopes for the first surgery being not such a great job seems like it could be actual reality.  I only hoped because that would give a better chance for recovery and ia a possible scenario so I just thought it could be possible. Had no real evidence of it. But I’ll be damned.    This is a detailed report of Brooks’ surgery and the condition of his knee after the failed repair.     https://x.com/jmthrivept/status/2055743129408704806?s= Sparked by some very good questions by @CoachspeakIndex, here’s some info on Jonathon Brooks: 1. Speculation that the first graft/ACLR by Dr. Cooper didn’t “take” or at least was too lax, leading to failure and re-tear. Brooks dealt with issues cutting, progressing in his rehab into the early stages of 2024 and then re-tore it late 2024, requiring a second ACLR in January 2025 (essentially revision). Notably, CAR prolonged Brooks’ rehab process through Sept-Oct due to issues progressing into the next stages of rehab. 2. Second surgery performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who has extensive experience with revisions. He did a double bundle technique, harvesting graft from Brooks’ left patellar tendon and a strip of his right IT Band (his right patellar tendon had been utilized for the prior graft in 2023. The double bundle technique significantly increases rotational stability of the knee, leading to a stronger and more secure graft/reconstruction. Also to note, Brooks’ surgery wasn’t significantly delayed, meaning that the tunnels from his prior ACLR were in good shape and they didn’t need to perform bone grafts to fill in (would have delayed 2nd surgery by 5-6 months). Essentially, reading the tea leaves tells me that everything else except for the graft itself was still in good quality within his knee. Good sign for future.  3. Typically, you see a performance increase anywhere from 16-20 months post-revision. Brooks will be ~21 months out from his second surgery by the time Week 1 hits. His knee should be more stable and stronger this time around, with adequate time for healing and return to all movement patterns. I’m not viewing this situation as a typical “Player __ had TWO ACL tears, he’s cooked” situation. Rather, I’m viewing it as the first procedure failed, but the second procedure is significantly stronger and should allow him to return to form this time around. I don’t know why it posted as a link but there it is.
    • Jackie, any more reps tomorrow, or is that it for this session?  thanks for the work
    • How can you say they aren’t trying to win now with all the moves made in free agency? Or is trading first round picks the only way to be win now? I’d be fine never trading another first round pick again, win now be damned.
