I'd prefer more.  Several teams are sitting with double digit draft picks.  Maybe in 2025.

There's honestly no point in double digit draft picks. It's fun for mock draft purposes but your roster is trash if you have double digit rookies on your 53.

6-8 seems like a reasonable number to shoot for. If you have more, you should probably be packaging picks to move up. If you have less, you should probably consider trying to slide back to get more picks.

More gives you flexibility.  Right now we can't move up for a player we really like without giving up resources we don't have or giving up future picks.  We have that late 4th, but there's not much purchasing power with that if we wanted to move up in the 3rd or 2nd rounds.

Don't be surprised if Jeremy Chinn is that purchasing power.

I created a separate link for this  didn’t see this one

apologies

According to David Newton of ESPN, the Panthers will bring in University of Alabama quarterback Bryce Young for his top-30 visit on Tuesday. This’ll directly follow the first of four in-house visits for the 2023 NFL draft’s top passing prospects—with University of Florida’s Anthony Richardson strolling through Charlotte today.

The only place I've seen rumors of Chinn being traded is on the Huddle.

It's just connecting the dots between the players we've acquired and what has been said by our new staff about our defensive scheme.

No one is saying he WILL be traded. People have just said it could happen because we've made moves that have made him expendable (signing Von Bell), Fitts has already told us you can't re-sign everyone, Fitts is a wheeler and dealer, and on the surface Chinn doesn't really fit in great into this defensive scheme given the little that we know about it.

It's the offseason, what else is their to talk about? Shall we argue some more about QBs?

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
