Nowhere near the same player

According to TV pundits and people on their forum  Herbert wasn't going to be the same player we know today. He was going to be a bust, thing is people like to act like they no the future but are often wrong. For all I know some qb in the 3rd round becomes the best pick of the draft. But the Levis bashing is off the charts

Because of the annual hype train that is a QB class.  prospects get pushed to the moon.  AR and Levis are way too raw and unproven to be expected to start right away. That is how you end up with Malik and Lance situations. Josh Allen was a anomaly.  Buffalo coaches knew what to do with him. Basically call plays like they still had Cam. Josh also had that IT factor.  He wanted to be the best. I think AR has a similar rare blend of talent and desire to excel. Levis seems like a Paxton Lynch, Drew Lock, Bortles and yes Darnold. He is gonna need some really good coaching and luck to earn his draft position

Levis is the quintessential million dollar arm with a five cent head. he has flame out written all over him.

The arm isn't even that good. He got out thrown by CJ at the combine. He also looked like he was about to pass out at his pro day huffing and puffing after 15 minutes of muscle head balls

Where has this intelligence thing has popped up from?  Everything says he's an intelligent guy. His issues aren't in his head. I don't think you can find an analysis of him that doesn't say he's intelligent.

I"m guessing you haven't looked at his tiktok page. He's obviously the least mature guy in this group and almost 3 years older than the others

I've seen it. He's a college kid trying to be funny.

I don't want anything to do with him. But nobody brings that up when giving a real analysis of him. They frequently mention his football IQ. He looks like the dumb jock type but that doesn't seem to be the case.

when you’re interviewing for a job worth millions/year, it’s not generally advised to act like a college kid trying to be funny.

    • Let’s be real, there’s no way the Bengals can trade him for less than first round value from an optics stand point.
    • Disclaimer:  In June, I am usually optimistic.  In October, a policeman with a bullhorn is telling me that I have a lot of life ahead of me and to think about my loved ones as I gaze down upon him from my rooftop.   Having said that, I think our offense (down the stretch) was good enough to play KC and Philly tough.  So how many games would this offense have won if they played the entire season like they did in November-January and if they had a better defense?   If you could stretch the last nine games over an entire season and put a solid defense on the other side, I see 5 wins becoming 7 or 8.  Down the stretch, the Panther D surrendered 30 points or more in 5 of the final 7 games and managed to win 2 of those 5.  If they can win 40% of games in which their defense surrenders 30 points or more, then the math indicates, had that been the case all season, the Panthers should have won 6 or 7 games with their defense surrendering 30+ points.   This season, we are much better at WR (TMac, Renfrow, Horn, and I expect XL to be a lot better).  Bryce is confident and now a leader.    The Achilles' heel of the 2024 defense, the DL, seems to be very solid.  We got back Horn and Jackson on the corners, Smith-Wade is improving better than expected, we signed a stud Safety.  Derrick Brown returns.  While the D is not there yet, it is going to be better.   So if we ended the second half of 2024 playing at a level that should have produced 6-7 wins, better WRs and a better defense could result in 9 wins or more.
