I can buy him being Reich's top choice but unless it's true that CJ bombed the interview, AR winning over more staff than either Stroud or Young seems extremely unlikely to me.

Damn after listening to this podcast, kindof makes me want AR even more.  Makes some incredible arguments for why you should shoot for the moon with him.

An owner who wants to win now and a coach who needs to win early and often isn’t going to take a guy first overall who won’t start until year 2.

Nobody in this organization or fanbase wants to see Andy Dalton all next year.

At the latest he'd start after the Bye week, whenever that is.

An owner and a coach want the player that's going to be best 3 years from now, not one that's better immediately, but has a capped ceiling.

Yeah just simplify the playbook and expand it as he develops.

The will not even do that. They will start with the plays he's comfortable with and expand from there. They will do the with whoever they select.

So I just read something that makes a ton of sense and pushes me more towards drafting Richardson than I was before (even though I love Young as a prospect and he's my current #1):

Drafting a bust at QB isn't as bad as drafting one that's mediocre. And it's so true. It's easier to move on from a guy who sucks than to be handcuffed to a Derrek Carr, Kirk Cousins, Ryan Tannehill, or Daniel Jones, who play well enough to be a starter and demand 30-40+ million on a contract, but aren't good enough to get you over the hump while demanding that kind of money hindering the rest of the team's development. 

Damned if reading that didn't make me want to swing for the fences.

AR is the most complete QB prospect at having all the prototypical physical traits for being a QB, add to that a 4.4, add to that an all time strongest arm in the opinion of many. His only deficiencies are playing time and "touch"?! If Frank likes him those are two things he can fix easily.
