There’s something that’s been eating at me with Stroud, and it goes back to something Deion Sanders said. Sanders said, regarding recruiting, they look for QBs from 2 parent households. I’d be curious if there are many, if any, successful NFL QBs without strong father figures. I don’t know the answer to the question, but I do believe that strong fathers are important to building strong men. That doesn’t mean there is no possibility to be a strong man without a strong father, but it definitely makes it harder. Take it for what you will. Stroud could be great regardless, or he could flop and it have nothing to do with his father being in prison.

WTF!

What does parents have to do with being successful at the NFL level?

My goodness man the stuff yall post on this site is kind of embarrassing. Either you can play football or you can't. My man bringing up parents now...lol

You alright? Acting like parents don’t matter to anything is kinda weird and not grounded in reality. Even so, I even said it may not mean anything as far as how his career turns out. I know it’s hard to imagine somebody thinking about something you didn’t. It will all be ok.

Nobody has even seen or said anything about Stroud being uncoachable. This is an odd turn of events especially from sports media and their way of at times saying what is actually going on..

I wonder if some of the writers that post this stuff have bets somewhere on who the pick will be. Very seldom do they name sources.

The handful of people that immediately jumped on their Stroud character suspicion after that tweet have me close to speechless.

The Panthers don't give a shat what sports writers have to say. They have to write something for the next seventeen or so days before the draft to earn a living.

I'm sure the team knows exactly all they need to know about player X by now. They certainly don't give a rats ass what other teams may do sitting at #1... unless they plan to trade down (which I doubt),

I think it’s natural for us to read opinions on this and perhaps some of us have different opinions. A single parent with integrity and positive character traits can do wonders. There are many success stories across the NFL that are wonderful success stories. (From single parent homes) There are some “Ozzie and Harriet” families in our world today, but there are some 2 parent homes that fail their children as well.
