I feel the same.

That #2 and #12 would make things interesting. I don't see them passing that up. You still have your choice of Stroud/AR + the #12 pick.

If we did trade down for 2 and 12, I might seriously consider AR. If we have the coaching staff we think we do, then coaching him up shouldn't be an issue IF he checks all the other boxes that can't be coached up. If we get it wrong, in 2 years we have a 1st again. If not, his ceiling is what you dream of when drafting a QB. Take an elite edge at 12, grab highest ranked LB, WR, TE, CB in the 2nd, same in the 3rd minus the position pick in 2nd, and this team is looking a lot more solid.

Maybe the GM and Coaches have an idea.  And really have come away with a clear leader of the pack.
Just because they haven’t sat down and said “yeah, that’s The guy”, and turn in the card.

Doesn’t mean they don’t have an idea or know.  And leak out some info.  Josh Klein pretty much spelled it out the other day too.  That the team wants info to get out before the draft, so their big party isn’t a big Bryce vs Stroud fight.

I stopped at your first word..

That was the other day. This is now and it seems like everything is changing and now it will be between Young, Stroud, and AR. It is in no way definite yet and draft day will show once the envelope is opened and the words spoken "In the 2023 Draft the Panthers pick is ?". Just need to wait till that day to find out who it will be.

Yeah but gambling on a scenario like that to happen is pretty risky…

It’s not gambling if they don’t like anyone but Bryce and we want Bryce, just another potential option for them.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
