I wonder if Charlie's source inside the org is gone, last 5 years he's locked down the Panthers pick around this time but his mock today he says he's still unsure what they are doing.

He was the only national draft analyst to say that Panthers were going Jaycee Horn unless Sewell was still there, and that they removed Slater and Fields off their board.

Regardless it appears he's going with Young who seems to be the pick with all the hoopla and betting action today, unless we are all getting fooled.

Matt Rhule and his staff of amateurs had more leaks than a sinking ship.

Who in the local media has said something today?

Joe Person in his Q&A on The Athletic said it's becoming "increasingly likely" that Bryce will be the pick. He also said that the Stroud buzz post-trade up largely came from people speculating that his size and Reich's history would give him the edge over Bryce.

That on top of Mike Kaye putting out a video last week saying he had heard Bryce buzz building for the past few weeks.

This week, there’s a smaller detail coming—Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud and Kentucky’s Will Levis will come in for their 30 visits Tuesday. On one hand, sometimes teams do bring in the players they’re most interested in closer to the deadline for such visits (that’s Wednesday). On the other, if Carolina was going to do a full day of introducing Stroud to everyone in the building, chances are they’d bring him in without another QB there.

OH NO NO NO

Well I called it in early March, so it's not surprising to me in the slightest. What was kind of surprising is the extent to which some Huddlers bought into media hype and narratives. What was more surprising is how some Huddlers belittled Bryce Young (pun intended) for his size and disregarded his track record of displaying elite traits in college.

Admittedly, I almost fell for the hype, but I just couldn't take the intellectual leap that required one to disregard the consistent talent and skills of BY in their entirety to those who have displayed varying amounts of talent and skills inconsistently. That just didn't vibe with my train of thought.

    • LaMelo to Brooklyn for Nic Claxton, Drake Powell, and a pick.  Who says no?
    • Appreciate you, brother!  I know it was lengthy, but I felt whoever actually read it would appreciate it.
    • Damn good take, brother.  I think I take that poo personally because (sidebar: I don’t like to use narcissist often because social media has made it a buzzword and diluted the meaning, so when I use it, I don’t take it lightly) I grew up in a home with a raging narcissist, then married a narcissist and just came out of a divorce after a 20 year marriage with her, where afterwards she met and married another narcissist.🤣  And in my dealings with them, over my 41 years on this earth, at times I took great delight in breaking down their arguments point by point and forcing them to either acknowledge their wrongs and take ownership of them or watch them yammer and stammer away when they ran out of lies and excuses.  At various points, that was extremely satisfying, but ultimately, which I’ve realized especially after the last 3 years and going through the divorce and everything, it does NOTHING to them.  It doesn’t affect them one way or another.  For a logical, reasonable, grounded person, you would think calling them in their poo will bring it to their attention when they’re face when nothing but facts and truth and force them to change, but nope.  Not in the slightest.  They just disassociate from the ones who do that and find more people who will validate their behaviors and thinking.  poo pisses me off because they’re so destructive and couldn’t care less so long as their needs are met.
