IIRC the Texans in 2014 actually negotiated a contract with Clowney, the 1st pick of the draft, before draft day. Officially announced, idk, but awfully close to it. The Texans have always been idiots concerning the draft.

Texans also did it with Mario Williams I believe

I think it's a done deal.  However like to know what the other visits were.  If cancelled meetings with Titans and Atlanta, not sure it's that big of a deal.

My guess is this is the Texans calling Carolina's bluff on Young.

 

I think the Panthers prefer Stroud but want to force the trade up from Houston so are making noise about Young. This the Texans' way of responding
